Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 8497
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: All the young slaves of Ibn Abbas reported that Ibn Abbas and some of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent them to Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) to ask her about the days on which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to fast the most. She said, "Saturday and Sunday.” Then I came back to them and told them this news, and it was as if they thought it was strange. So they all went to her and said, "We sent this one to you to ask about this matter, and he says that you said this.” She said, “He has told the truth. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to fast most often on Saturday and Sunday, and he would say, 'These are the days of Eid (festival) for the polytheists, and I want to oppose them.”

(٨٤٩٧) ابن عباس (رض) کلے غلام کر یپ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ابن عباس اور اصحاب النبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) میں سے کچھ لوگوں نے انھیں اُم سلمہ (رض) کے پاس بھیجا کہ وہ ان ایام کے بارے پوچھیں جن میں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اکثر روزہ رکھتے تھے تو انھوں نے کہا : ہفتہ اور اتوار۔ پھر میں ان کے پاس پلٹ آیا اور انھیں یہ خبر دی تو گویا وہ اسے عجیب تصور کررہے تھے تو وہ سب ان کے پاس چلے گئے کہ ہم نے اس مسئلے کے لیے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس بھیجا تھا اور یہ کہتا ہے کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے یہ بات کہی ہے تو انھوں نے کہا : اس نے سچ کہا ہے کہ بیشک رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اکثر ہفتے اور اتوار کا روزہ رکھتے تھے اور فرمایا کرتے تھے یہ مشرکین کے عید کے ایام تھے اور میں ان کی مخالفت کرنا چاہتا ہوں۔
8497 Ibn Abbas (RA) k ek gulam riwayat karte hain ki Ibn Abbas aur Ashab un Nabi (SAW) mein se kuch logon ne unhen Umme Salma (RA) ke pass bheja ki woh un ayyam ke bare poochhen jin mein aap (SAW) aksar roza rakhte the to unhon ne kaha: Hafta aur Itwar. Phir mein unke pass palat aaya aur unhen yeh khabar di to goya woh usey ajib tasawwur kar rahe the to woh sab unke pass chale gaye ki humne is masle ke liye aap (SAW) ke pass bheja tha aur yeh kehta hai ki aap (SAW) ne yeh baat kahi hai to unhon ne kaha: Isne sach kaha hai ki beshak Rasul Allah (SAW) aksar hafta aur itwar ka roza rakhte the aur farmaya karte the yeh mushrikeen ke eid ke ayyam the aur mein unki mukhalifat karna chahta hoon.
٨٤٩٧ - وَقَدْ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَلِيمٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو ⦗٤٩٩⦘ الْمُوَجِّهِ، ثنا عَبْدَانُ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ هُوَ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ كُرَيْبًا مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَنَاسًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثُونِي إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا أَسْأَلُهَا عَنْ أِيِّ الْأَيَّامِ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكْثَرَ لَهَا صِيَامًا،فَقَالَتْ:يَوْمُ السَّبْتِ وَالْأَحَدِ،فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَيْهِمْ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُمْ فَكَأَنَّهُمْ أَنْكَرُوا ذَلِكَ فَقَامُوا بِأَجْمَعِهِمْ إِلَيْهَا فَقَالُوا:إِنَّا بَعَثْنَا إِلَيْكِ هَذَا فِي كَذَا وَكَذَا فَذَكَرَ أَنَّكِ قُلْتِ: كَذَا وَكَذَا فَقَالَتْ: صَدَقَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكْثَرَ مَا كَانَ يَصُومُ مِنَ الْأَيَّامِ يَوْمَ السَّبْتِ وَالْأَحَدِ،وَكَانَ يَقُولُ:" إِنَّهُمَا يَوْمَا عِيدٍ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُخَالِفَهُمْ "
