It is reported that Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, 'I have narrated many Ahadith. Had it not been for two verses in the Qur'an, I would not have narrated a single Hadith, and the verses are : ُٰ مِن بَعْدِ مَا بَيَّنَّاهَلْنَا مِنَ الْبَيِ نَاتِ وَالْهُدَىإِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنز ََّ عِنُونَّ ُ وَ يَلْعَنُهُمُ الالِ فِي الْكِتَابِ ۙ أُولَـٰئِكَ يَلْعَنُهُمُ َّللالِلنَّاس - َّإِال ْالَّذِينَ تَابُوا وَأَصْلَحُوا وَ بَيَّنُوا فَأُولَـٰئِكَ أَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِم ۚ ُِ يمَّ حوَأَنَا التَّوَّابُ الر [Surely those who conceal the clear proofs and the guidance that We revealed after We made it clear in the Book for men, these it is whom Allah shall curse, and those who curse shall curse them (too). Except those who repent and amend and make manifest (the truth), these it is to whom I turn (mercifully); and I am the Oft-returning (and) the Merciful.] (Al-Baqara - 159-60). And no doubt our Muhajir brothers used to be busy in the market with their business and our Ansari brothers used to be busy with their property (agriculture). But I (Abu Hurairaؓ ) used to stick to Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) contented with what will fill my stomach and I used to attend that which they used not to attend and I used to memorize that which they used not to memorize.
حضرت ابوہریرہ ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: لوگ کہتے ہیں: ابوہریرہ نے بہت احادیث بیان کی ہیں۔ اگر کتاب اللہ میں دو آیتیں نہ ہوتیں تو میں ایک بھی حدیث بیان نہ کرتا۔ پھر انہوں نے ان آیات کو تلاوت کیا: ’’جو لوگ چھپاتے ہیں ان کھلی ہوئی نشانیوں اور ہدایت کی باتوں کو جو ہم نے نازل کیں۔‘‘ الرحیم تک۔ بےشک ہمارے مہاجر بھائیوں کو بازار میں خرید و فروخت کا شغل رہتا تھا اور ہمارے انصاری بھائی اموال و زراعت کے شغل میں لگے رہتے تھے لیکن ابوہریرہ تو اپنا پیٹ بھرنے کے لیے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس موجود رہتا تھا اور ایسے موقع پر حاضر رہتا جہاں لوگ حاضر نہ رہتے اور وہ باتیں یاد کر لیتا جو دوسرے لوگ یاد نہ کر سکتے تھے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne farmaya: Log kehte hain: Abu Hurairah ne bahut ahadees bayan ki hain. Agar Kitab Allah mein do aayatein na hotin toh main ek bhi hadees bayan na karta. Phir unhon ne in aayaat ko tilawat kiya: "Jo log chhupate hain un khuli hui nishaniyon aur hidayat ki baaton ko jo hum ne nazil kin." Ar-Raheem tak. Beshak hamare Muhajir bhaiyon ko bazaar mein khareed o farokht ka shughl rehta tha aur hamare Ansari bhai amwaal o zara'at ke shughl mein lage rehte the lekin Abu Hurairah toh apna pet bharne ke liye Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ke paas maujood rehta tha aur aise mauqa par haazir rehta jahan log haazir na rehte aur woh baatein yaad kar leta jo doosre log yaad na kar sakte the.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ النَّاسَ يَقُولُونَ أَكْثَرَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَلَوْلَا آيَتَانِ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ مَا حَدَّثْتُ حَدِيثًا ، ثُمَّ يَتْلُو إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ الرَّحِيمُ سورة البقرة آية 159 - 160 ، إِنَّ إِخْوَانَنَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ كَانَ يَشْغَلُهُمْ والصَّفْقُ بِالْأَسْوَاقِ ، وَإِنَّ إِخْوَانَنَا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ كَانَ يَشْغَلُهُمُ الْعَمَلُ فِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ ، وَإِنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ كَانَ يَلْزَمُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشِبَعِ بَطْنِهِ ، وَيَحْضُرُ مَا لَا يَحْضُرُونَ ، وَيَحْفَظُ مَا لَا يَحْفَظُونَ .
