Chapter: “Uhud is a mountain that loves us and is loved by us.”

باب أُحُدٌ يُحِبُّنَا ‏وَنُحِبُّهُ‏

Sahih al-Bukhari 4083

Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘this is a mountain that loves us and is loved by us.’

حضرت انس ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’یہ اُحد پہاڑ ہے جو ہم سے محبت کرتا ہے اور ہم اس سے محبت کرتے ہیں۔‘‘

Hazrat Anas (Radiyallahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: ''Yeh Uhud pahad hai jo hum se mohabbat karta hai aur hum is se mohabbat kartay hain.'’

حَدَّثَنِي نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي , عَنْ قُرَّةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ , عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : هَذَا جَبَلٌ يُحِبُّنَا وَنُحِبُّهُ .

Sahih al-Bukhari 4084

Narrated Anas bin Malik: When the mountain of Uhud appeared before Allah's Apostle he said, This IS a mountain that loves us and is loved by us. O, Allah! Abraham made Mecca a Sanctuary, and I have made Medina (i.e. the area between its two mountains) a Sanctuary as well.

حضرت انس بن مالک ؓ ہی سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے سامنے جب اُحد پہاڑ ظاہر ہوا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ’’یہ پہاڑ ہم سے محبت کرتا ہے اور ہم اس سے محبت کرتے ہیں۔ اے اللہ! حضرت ابراہیم ؑ نے مکہ مکرمہ کو حرم قرار دیا تھا اور میں مدینہ طیبہ کے دونوں کناروں کے درمیانی علاقے کو حرم قرار دیتا ہوں۔‘‘

Hazrat Anas bin Malik (Radiyallahu Anhu) hi se riwayat hai ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke samnay jab Uhud pahad zahir hua to Aap ne farmaya: ''Yeh pahad hum se mohabbat karta hai aur hum is se mohabbat kartay hain. Ae Allah! Hazrat Ibrahim (Alaihissalam) ne Makka Mukarrama ko haram qarar diya tha aur main Madina Tayyiba ke donon kinaron ke darmiyani ilaqay ko haram qarar deta hun.'’

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ , أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ , عَنْ عَمْرٍو مَوْلَى الْمُطَّلِبِ , عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَلَعَ لَهُ أُحُدٌ فَقَالَ : هَذَا جَبَلٌ يُحِبُّنَا وَنُحِبُّهُ , اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَرَّمَ مَكَّةَ وَإِنِّي حَرَّمْتُ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا .

Sahih al-Bukhari 4085

Uqba (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that one day the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) went out and offered the (funeral) prayer for the people (martyrs) of Uhud as he used to offer a funeral prayer for any dead person, and then (after returning) he ascended the pulpit and said, ‘I am your predecessor before you, and I am a witness upon you, and I am looking at my Houdh (Al-Kauthar) just now, and I have been given the keys of the treasures of the world (or the keys of the world). By Allah, I am not afraid that you will worship others besides Allah after me, but I am afraid that you will compete with each other for the pleasures of this world.’

حضرت عقبہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ ایک دن باہر تشریف لائے اور اہل اُحد پر اس طرح نماز پڑھی جس طرح میت پر پڑھی جاتی ہے، پھر منبر پر تشریف لائے اور فرمایا: ’’میں تمہارے لیے میر کارواں ہوں اور تمہارے حق میں گواہی دوں گا۔ میں اب بھی اپنے حوض کو دیکھ رہا ہوں۔ مجھے زمین کے خزانوں کی چابیاں عطا کی گئی ہیں۔ اللہ کی قسم! میں اپنے بعد تمہارے متعلق شرک میں مبتلا ہونے کا اندیشہ نہیں رکھتا بلکہ مجھے ڈر یہ ہے کہ تم دنیا میں رغبت کرنے لگو گے۔‘‘

Hazrat Uqba (Radiyallahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ek din bahar tashreef laye aur ahl-e-Uhud par is tarah namaz parhi jis tarah mayyit par parhi jati hai, phir minbar par tashreef laye aur farmaya: ''Main tumharay liye meer-e-karwan hun aur tumharay haq mein gawahi dun ga. Main ab bhi apnay hauz ko dekh raha hun. Mujhe zameen ke khazanon ki chabiyan ata ki gayi hain. Allah ki qasam! main apnay baad tumharay mutaliq shirk mein mubtala honay ka andesha nahi rakhta balkay mujhe darr yeh hai ke tum duniya mein raghbat karnay lago ge.'’

حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ , عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ , عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ , عَنْ عُقْبَةَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ يَوْمًا فَصَلَّى عَلَى أَهْلِ أُحُدٍ صَلَاتَهُ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ , ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَى الْمِنْبَرِ , فَقَالَ : إِنِّي فَرَطٌ لَكُمْ وَأَنَا شَهِيدٌ عَلَيْكُمْ , وَإِنِّي لَأَنْظُرُ إِلَى حَوْضِي الْآنَ , وَإِنِّي أُعْطِيتُ مَفَاتِيحَ خَزَائِنِ الْأَرْضِ , أَوْ مَفَاتِيحَ الْأَرْضِ , وَإِنِّي وَاللَّهِ مَا أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ تُشْرِكُوا بَعْدِي وَلَكِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ تَنَافَسُوا فِيهَا .
