Narrated `Aisha: Allah's Apostle was fond of honey and sweet edible things and (it was his habit) that after finishing the `Asr prayer he would visit his wives and stay with one of them at that time. Once he went to Hafsa, the daughter of `Umar and stayed with her more than usual. I got jealous and asked the reason for that. I was told that a lady of her folk had given her a skin filled with honey as a present, and that she made a syrup from it and gave it to the Prophet to drink (and that was the reason for the delay). I said, By Allah we will play a trick on him (to prevent him from doing so). So I said to Sa`da bint Zam`a The Prophet will approach you, and when he comes near you, say: 'Have you taken Maghafir (a bad-smelling gum)?' He will say, 'No.' Then say to him: 'Then what is this bad smell which i smell from you?' He will say to you, 'Hafsa made me drink honey syrup.' Then say: Perhaps the bees of that honey had sucked the juice of the tree of Al-`Urfut.' I shall also say the same. O you, Safiyya, say the same. Later Sa`da said, By Allah, as soon as he (the Prophet ) stood at the door, I was about to say to him what you had ordered me to say because I was afraid of you. So when the Prophet came near Sa`da, she said to him, O Allah's Apostle! Have you taken Maghafir? He said, No. She said. Then what is this bad smell which I detect on you? He said, Hafsa made me drink honey syrup. She said, Perhaps its bees had sucked the juice of Al-`Urfut tree. When he came to me, I also said the same, and when he went to Safiyya, she also said the same. And when the Prophet again went to Hafsa, she said, 'O Allah's Apostle! Shall I give you more of that drink? He said, I am not in need of it. Sa`da said, By Allah, we deprived him (of it). I said to her, Keep quiet. '
سیدہ عائشہ ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ ﷺ شہد اور میٹھی چیز بہت پسند کرتے تھے۔ اور جب نماز عصر سے فراغت کے بعد آپ واپس آتے تو اپنی ازواج کے پاس تشریف لے جاتے اور بعض کے قریب بھی ہوتے تھے۔ ایک دن آپ ﷺ سیدہ حفصہ بنت عمر ؓ کے پاس تشریف لے گئے اور ان کے ہاں معمول سے زیادہ کچھ وقت قیام کیا۔ مجھے اس پر غیرت آئی تو میں نے اس کے متعلق پوچھا۔ مجھے بتایا گیا کہ سیدہ حفصہ ؓ کو ان کی رشتہ دار خاتون نے شہد کا ڈبہ دیا ہے انہوں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو اس ے کچھ پلایا ہے۔ میں نے (اپنے دل میں) کہا: اللہ کی قسم! ہم اس کی روک تھام کے لیے کوئی حیلہ کرتی ہیں۔ چنانچہ میں نے سیدہ سودہ بنت زمعہ ؓ سے کہا: آپ ﷺ عنقریب تمہارے پاس تشریف لائیں گے۔ جب تمہارے قریب آئیں تو آپ سے کہنا کہ آپ نے مغافیرکھا رکھا ہے؟ (ظاہر ہے کہ) آپ ﷺ اس کے جواب کا انکار کریں گے۔ اس وقت کہنا: پھر یہ ناگوار سی بو کیسی ہے؟ جو آپ سے محسوس ہو رہی ہے؟ آپ فرمائیں گے کہ حفصہ نے مجھے شہد کا شربت پلایا ہے۔ اس پر کہنا کہ شاید مکھی نے مغافیر کے درخت کا رس چوسا ہے۔ میں بھی آپ سے یہی عرض کروں گی۔ اے صفیہ! تم نے بھی یہی کہنا ہوگا۔ سیدہ عائشہ ؓ کا بیان ہے کہ سودہ ؓ کہتی تھیں: اللہ کی قسم! ابھی آپ ﷺ نے دروازے پر قدم رکھا تھا تو تمہاری ہیبت کی وجہ سے میں نے ارادہ کیا میں وہ بات رسول اللہ ﷺ سے کہہ دوں جو تم نے مجھے کہی تھی، چنانچہ آپ ﷺ جب سیدہ سودہ ؓ کے قریب ہوئے تو انہوں عرض کی: پھر یہ ناگوارسی بو کیسی ہے؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”مجھے تو حفصہ نے شہد کا شربت پلایا ہے۔“ سیدہ سودہ ؓ نے پھر کہا: شاید شہد کی مکھی نےمغافیر کے درخت کا رس چوسا ہوگا۔ پھر جب آپ ﷺ میرے پاس تشریف لائے تو میں نے بھی اسی طرح کہا۔ جب صفیہ ؓ کے پاس تشریف لے گئے تو انہوں نے اسی بات کو دہرایا۔ اس کے بعد جب آپ ﷺ سیدہ حفصہ ؓ کے ہاں تشریف لے گئے تو انہوں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! میں آپ کو وہ شہد نہ پلاؤں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”مجھے اس کی ضرورت نہیں۔“ سیدہ عائشہ ؓ کا بیان ہے ک سیدہ سودہ ؓ نے کہا: اللہ کی قسم! ہم آپ ﷺ کو روکنے میں کامیاب ہو گئے ہیں۔ میں نے ان سے کہا: ابھی خاموش رہو۔“
Sayyida Aisha (radi Allahu anha) se riwayat hai, unhon ne farmaya: Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) shehad aur meethi cheez bahut pasand karte thay. Aur jab namaz-e-asr se faraghat ke baad Aap wapas aate to apni azwaj ke paas tashreef le jaate aur baaz ke qareeb bhi hote thay. Aik din Aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) Sayyida Hafsa bint Umar (radi Allahu anha) ke paas tashreef le gaye aur un ke haan mamool se zyada kuch waqt qiyam kiya. Mujhe is par ghairat aayi to mein ne is ke mutalliq poocha. Mujhe bataya gaya ke Sayyida Hafsa (radi Allahu anha) ko un ki rishtedar khatoon ne shehad ka dabba diya hai unhon ne Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ko is se kuch pilaya hai. Mein ne (apne dil mein) kaha: Allah ki qasam! Hum is ki rok tham ke liye koi hila karti hain. Chunancha mein ne Sayyida Sauda bint Zam'a (radi Allahu anha) se kaha: Aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) anqareeb tumhare paas tashreef layen ge. Jab tumhare qareeb ayen to Aap se kehna ke Aap ne maghafeer kha rakkha hai? (Zahir hai ke) Aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is ke jawab ka inkar karen ge. Is waqt kehna: Phir yeh nagawar si boo kaisi hai? Jo Aap se mehsoos ho rahi hai? Aap farmayen ge ke Hafsa ne mujhe shehad ka sharbat pilaya hai. Is par kehna ke shayad makkhi ne maghafeer ke darakht ka ras choosa hai. Mein bhi Aap se yahi arz karoon gi. Ae Safiya! Tum ne bhi yahi kehna hoga. Sayyida Aisha (radi Allahu anha) ka bayan hai ke Sauda (radi Allahu anha) kehti theen: Allah ki qasam! Abhi Aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne darwaze par qadam rakkha tha to tumhari haibat ki wajah se mein ne irada kiya mein woh baat Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) se keh doon jo tum ne mujhe kahi thi, chunancha Aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) jab Sayyida Sauda (radi Allahu anha) ke qareeb huay to unhon ne arz ki: Phir yeh nagawar si boo kaisi hai? Aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne farmaya: "Mujhe to Hafsa ne shehad ka sharbat pilaya hai." Sayyida Sauda (radi Allahu anha) ne phir kaha: Shayad shehad ki makkhi ne maghafeer ke darakht ka ras choosa hoga. Phir jab Aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) mere paas tashreef laye to mein ne bhi isi tarah kaha. Jab Safiya (radi Allahu anha) ke paas tashreef le gaye to unhon ne isi baat ko dohraiya. Is ke baad jab Aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) Sayyida Hafsa (radi Allahu anha) ke haan tashreef le gaye to unhon ne kaha: Allah ke Rasool! Mein Aap ko woh shehad na pilaoon? Aap ne farmaya: "Mujhe is ki zaroorat nahi." Sayyida Aisha (radi Allahu anha) ka bayan hai ke Sayyida Sauda (radi Allahu anha) ne kaha: Allah ki qasam! Hum Aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ko rokne mein kamyab ho gaye hain. Mein ne un se kaha: Abhi khamosh raho."
