Sahih al-Bukhari 1043
Al-Mughira bin Shu`ba (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the sun eclipsed in the lifetime of Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) on the day when (his son) Ibrahim died. So, the people said that the sun had eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim (عليه السالم). Allah's Apostle ( صلى ہللا عليه و آلهوسلم) said, ‘the sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death or birth of someone. When you see the eclipse pray and supplicate.’
حضرت مغیرہ بن شعبہ ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ ﷺ کی حیات طیبہ میں سورج گرہن اس دن ہوا جس دن آپ کے لخت جگر ابراہیم ؑ کی وفات ہوئی تھی۔ لوگوں نے کہا کہ حضرت ابراہیم ؑ کی وفات کے سبب سورج بے نور ہوا ہے۔ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’سورج اور چاند کسی کے مرنے اور پیدا ہونے سے گرہن زدہ نہیں ہوتے۔ جب تم گرہن دیکھو تو نماز پڑھو اور اللہ سے دعا کرو۔‘‘
Hazrat Mughira bin Shu'ba (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne farmaya: Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki hayat-e-tayyiba mein suraj gahan is din hua jis din Aap ke lakht-e-jigar Ibrahim (Alaihis Salam) ki wafat hui thi. Logon ne kaha ke Hazrat Ibrahim (Alaihis Salam) ki wafat ke sabab suraj be-noor hua hai. Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: ''Suraj aur chand kisi ke marne aur paida hone se gahan-zada nahi hote. Jab tum gahan dekho to namaz parho aur Allah se dua karo.''
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ ، عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ، فَقَالَ النَّاسُ : كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا وَادْعُوا اللَّهَ .
