Sahih al-Bukhari 1044
Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that in the lifetime of Allah's Apostle ( صلىہللا عليه و آله وسلم) the sun eclipsed, so he led the people in prayer, and stood up and performed a long Qiyam, then bowed for a long while. He stood up again and performed a long Qiyam but this time the period of standing was shorter than the first. He bowed again for a long time but shorter than the first one, then he prostrated and prolonged the prostration. He did the same in the second rak`a as he did in the first and then finished the prayer; by then the sun (eclipse) had cleared. He delivered the Khutba (sermon) and after praising and glorifying Allah he said, ‘the sun and the moon are two signs of Allah; they do not eclipse on the death or life of anyone. So, when you see the eclipse, remember Allah and say Takbir, pray and give Sadaqa.’ The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) then said, ‘O followers of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), by Allah, there is none who has more ghaira (self respect) than Allah as He has forbidden that His slaves, male or female commit adultery (illegal sexual intercourse). ‘O followers of Muhammad ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), by Allah! If you knew that which I know you would laugh little and weep much.
حضرت عائشہ ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ ﷺ کے عہد مبارک میں ایک دفعہ سورج گرہن ہوا تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائی اور اس میں بہت طویل قیام کیا، پھر رکوع کیا تو وہ بھی بہت طویل کیا۔ رکوع کے بعد قیام کیا تو وہ بھی بہت طویل تھا لیکن پہلے قیام سے کچھ مختصر۔ پھر آپ نے طویل رکوع کیا جو پہلے رکوع سے قدرے کم تھا۔ پھر سجدہ بھی بہت طویل کیا۔ دوسری رکعت میں بھی ایسا ہی کیا جیسا کہ پہلی رکعت میں کیا تھا۔ پھر جب نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو آفتاب صاف ہو چکا تھا۔ اس کے بعد آپ نے لوگوں کو خطبہ دیا اور اللہ کی حمد و ثنا کے بعد فرمایا: ’’بلاشبہ یہ سورج اور چاند اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے دو نشانیاں ہیں، یہ دونوں کسی کے مرنے جینے سے گرہن زدہ نہیں ہوتے۔ جس وقت تم ایسا دیکھو تو اللہ سے دعا کرو، اس کی کبریائی کا اعتراف کرو، نماز پڑھو اور صدقہ و خیرات کرو۔‘‘ پھر آپ نے فرمایا: ’’اے امت محمد! اللہ سے زیادہ کوئی غیرت مند نہیں ہے کہ اس کا غلام یا اس کی باندی بدکاری کرے، اے امت محمد! اللہ کی قسم! اگر تم اس بات کو جان لو جو میں جانتا ہوں تو تمہیں ہنسی بہت کم آئے اور رونا بہت زیادہ آئے۔‘‘
Hazrat Aisha (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne farmaya: Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke ahad-e-mubarak mein ek dafa suraj gahan hua to Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne logon ko namaz parhai aur is mein bahut taweel qiyam kiya, phir ruku kiya to wo bhi bahut taweel kiya. Ruku ke baad qiyam kiya to wo bhi bahut taweel tha lekin pehle qiyam se kuch mukhtasar. Phir Aap ne taweel ruku kiya jo pehle ruku se qadray kam tha. Phir sajda bhi bahut taweel kiya. Doosri rakat mein bhi aisa hi kiya jaisa ke pehli rakat mein kiya tha. Phir jab namaz se farigh hue to aftab saaf ho chuka tha. Is ke baad Aap ne logon ko khutba diya aur Allah ki hamd-o-sana ke baad farmaya: ''Bilashuba ye suraj aur chand Allah ki nishaniyon mein se do nishaniyan hain, ye dono kisi ke marne jine se gahan-zada nahi hote. Jis waqt tum aisa dekho to Allah se dua karo, is ki kibriyai ka aiteraaf karo, namaz parho aur sadqa-o-khairat karo.'' Phir Aap ne farmaya: ''Ae ummat-e-Muhammad! Allah se ziada koi ghairat mand nahi hai ke is ka ghulam ya is ki bandi bad-kari kare, ae ummat-e-Muhammad! Allah ki qasam! agar tum is baat ko jaan lo jo mein janta hoon to tumhein hansi bahut kam aaye aur rona bahut ziada aaye.''
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالنَّاسِ ، فَقَامَ فَأَطَالَ الْقِيَامَ ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَأَطَالَ الرُّكُوعَ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَأَطَالَ الْقِيَامَ وَهُوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَأَطَالَ الرُّكُوعَ وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ فَأَطَالَ السُّجُودَ ، ثُمَّ فَعَلَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ مِثْلَ مَا فَعَلَ فِي الْأُولَى ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ وَقَدِ انْجَلَتِ الشَّمْسُ ، فَخَطَبَ النَّاسَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَا يَخْسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَادْعُوا اللَّهَ وَكَبِّرُوا وَصَلُّوا وَتَصَدَّقُوا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : يَا أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاللَّهِ مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ أَغْيَرُ مِنَ اللَّهِ أَنْ يَزْنِيَ عَبْدُهُ أَوْ تَزْنِيَ أَمَتُهُ ، يَا أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاللَّهِ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا وَلبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا .
