Sahih al-Bukhari 1119
Narrated `Aisha: (the mother of the faithful believers) Allah's Apostle (in his last days) used to pray sitting. He would recite while sitting, and when thirty or forty verses remained from the recitation he would get up and recite them while standing and then he would bow and prostrate. He used to do the same in the second rak`a. After finishing the Prayer he used to look at me and if I was awake he would talk to me and if I was asleep, he would lie down.
ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھتے اور بیٹھنے کی حالت میں قراءت کرتے اور جب تقریبا تیس یا چالیس آیات باقی رہ جاتیں تو کھڑے ہو جاتے اور بحالت قیام انہیں تلاوت فرماتے، پھر رکوع کرتے اور سجدے میں چلے جاتے۔ اس کے بعد دوسری رکعت میں بھی ایسا ہی کرتے۔ اور جب نماز سے فارغ ہو جاتے تو دیکھتے، اگر میں بیدار ہوتی تو میرے ساتھ محو گفتگو ہوتے اور اگر میں نیند میں ہوتی تو آپ بھی لیٹ جاتے۔
Umm-ul-Momineen Hazrat Aisha (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) baith kar namaz parhte aur baithne ki halat mein qiraat karte aur jab taqreeban tees ya chalis aayat baqi reh jatin to khare ho jate aur ba-halat-e-qiyam unhein tilawat farmate, phir ruku karte aur sajde mein chale jate. Is ke baad doosri rakat mein bhi aisa hi karte. Aur jab namaz se farigh ho jate to dekhte, agar mein bidaar hoti to mere sath mahu-e-guftagu hote aur agar mein neend mein hoti to Aap bhi lait jate.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، وَأَبِي النَّضْرِ ، مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي جَالِسًا فَيَقْرَأُ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ ، فَإِذَا بَقِيَ مِنْ قِرَاءَتِهِ نَحْوٌ مِنْ ثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ أَرْبَعِينَ آيَةً قَامَ فَقَرَأَهَا وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ ، ثُمَّ يَرْكَعُ ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ يَفْعَلُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ، فَإِذَا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ نَظَرَ فَإِنْ كُنْتُ يَقْظَى تَحَدَّثَ مَعِي ، وَإِنْ كُنْتُ نَائِمَةً اضْطَجَعَ .
