Sahih al-Bukhari 1894
Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘fasting is a shield. So, the person observing fasting should avoid sexual relation with his wife and should not behave foolishly and impolitely, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he should tell him twice, I am fasting.’ The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) added, ‘by Him in Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better than the smell of musk in the sight of Allah. (Allah says about the fasting person), 'he has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. So, I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times.’
حضرت ابو ہریرہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’روزہ ایک ڈھال ہے لہذا روزے دار کو چاہیے کہ وہ نہ تو فحش کلامی کرے اور نہ جاہلوں ہی جیسا کوئی کام کرے۔ ہاں اگر کوئی شخص اس سے لڑے یا اسے گالی دے تو اس کو دو مرتبہ کہہ دے کہ میں روزے سے ہوں۔ اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے!روزہ دار کے منہ کی بو اللہ کے نزدیک کستوری کی خوشبوسے زیادہ بہتر ہے۔ (اللہ تعالیٰ کا ارشاد ہے کہ) روزہ دار ا پنا کھانا۔ پینا اور اپنی خواہشات میرے لیے چھوڑنا ہے۔ لہذا روزہ میرے ہی لیے ہے اور میں ہی اس کابدلہ دوں گا اور ہر نیکی کا ثواب دس گنا ہے۔‘‘
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Roza ek dhaal hai lehaza rozay-dar ko chahiye ke wo na to fuhsh-kalami kare aur na jahilon hi jaisa koi kaam kare. Haan agar koi shakhs is se lare ya ise gaali de to is ko do martaba keh de ke main rozay se hoon. Is zaat ki qasam jis ke hath mein meri jaan hai! Rozay-dar ke munh ki boo Allah ke nazdeek kastoori ki khushbu se zyada behtar hai. (Allah Ta'ala ka irshad hai ke) Rozay-dar apna khana, peena aur apni khwahishat mere liye chhorta hai. Lehaza roza mere hi liye hai aur main hi is ka badla doon ga aur har naiki ka sawab das guna hai."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ ، فَلَا يَرْفُثْ ، وَلَا يَجْهَلْ ، وَإِنِ امْرُؤٌ قَاتَلَهُ أَوْ شَاتَمَهُ ، فَلْيَقُلْ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ مَرَّتَيْنِ ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ ، يَتْرُكُ طَعَامَهُ ، وَشَرَابَهُ ، وَشَهْوَتَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِي الصِّيَامُ لِي ، وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَالْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا .
