Sahih al-Bukhari 2012
Urwa narrated that he was informed by Ummul Momineen Aisha ( رضي الله تعالى عنها) that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) went out in the middle of the night (after Isha prayer) and prayed in the mosque and some men prayed behind him. In the morning, the people spoke about it and then a large number of them gathered and prayed behind him (on the second night). In the next morning, the people again talked about it and on the third night the mosque was full of a large number of people. Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) came out and the people prayed behind him. On the fourth night the Mosque was overwhelmed with people and could not accommodate them, but the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) came out (only) for the morning prayer. When the morning prayer was finished, he recited Tashah-hud and (addressing the people) said, Amma ba'du ( ُأَمَّا بَعْد), your presence was not hidden from me, but I was afraid as the (Taraweeh) prayer would be made compulsory for and you might not be able to carry it on.’ So, Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) died, and the situation remained like that (some people prayed Taraweeh alone and some in congregation).
حضرت عائشہ ؓ ہی سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ (رمضان میں) ایک مرتبہ نصف شب کے وقت مسجد میں تشریف لے گئے تو وہاں نماز تراویح پڑھی۔ کچھ صحابہ کرام رضوان اللہ عنھم اجمعین بھی آپ کے ساتھ نماز میں شریک ہو گئے۔ صبح ہوئی تو انھوں نے اس کا چرچا کیا، چنانچہ دوسری رات لوگ پہلے سے بھی زیادہ جمع ہوگئے اور آپ کے ہمراہ نماز (تراویح)پڑھی دوسری صبح کو اور زیادہ چرچا ہوا۔ پھرتیسری رات اس سے بھی زیادہ لوگ جمع ہو گئے۔ رسول اللہ ﷺ مسجد میں تشریف لائے۔ نماز پڑھی اور لوگوں نے بھی آپ کی اقتدا میں نماز (تراویح ) اداکی۔ جب چوتھی رات آئی تو اتنے لوگ جمع ہوئے کہ مسجد نمازیوں سے عاجز آگئی یہاں تک کہ صبح کی نماز کے لیے آپ باہر تشریف لائے۔ جب نماز فجر پڑھ لی تو لوگوں کی طرف متوجہ ہوئے، خطبہ پڑھا پھر فرمایا: ’’واقعہ یہ ہے کہ تمھارا موجود ہونا مجھ پر مخفی نہ تھالیکن مجھے اندیشہ ہوا کہ مبادا نماز شب فرض ہو جائے، پھر تم اسے ادانہ کر سکو۔‘‘ رسول اللہ ﷺ وفات پاگئے اور یہ معاملہ اسی طرح رہا۔
Hazrat Aisha (Radi Allahu Anha) hi se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) (Ramadan mein) ek martaba nisf shab ke waqt masjid mein tashreef le gaye to wahan namaz-e-tarawih parhi. Kuch Sahaba-e-Karam (Ridwanullahi Alaihim Ajmaeen) bhi aap ke sath namaz mein shareek ho gaye. Subha hui to unhon ne is ka charcha kiya, chunanche dusri raat log pehle se bhi zyada jama ho gaye aur aap ke humrah namaz (tarawih) parhi dusri subha ko aur zyada charcha hua. Phir teesri raat is se bhi zyada log jama ho gaye. Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) masjid mein tashreef laye. Namaz parhi aur logon ne bhi aap ki iqtada mein namaz (tarawih) ada ki. Jab chauthi raat aayi to itne log jama huye ke masjid namaziyon se aajiz aa gayi yahan tak ke subha ki namaz ke liye aap baahar tashreef laye. Jab namaz-e-fajr parh li to logon ki taraf mutawajjah huye, khutbah parha phir farmaya: "Waqia ye hai ke tumhara maujood hona mujh par makhfi na tha lekin mujhe andesha hua ke mabada namaz-e-shab farz ho jaye, phir tum ise ada na kar sako." Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) wafat paa gaye aur ye maamla isi tarah raha.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَخْبَرَتْهُ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ لَيْلَةً مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ فَصَلَّى فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَصَلَّى رِجَالٌ بِصَلَاتِهِ ، فَأَصْبَحَ النَّاسُ فَتَحَدَّثُوا ، فَاجْتَمَعَ أَكْثَرُ مِنْهُمْ فَصَلَّى فَصَلَّوْا مَعَهُ ، فَأَصْبَحَ النَّاسُ فَتَحَدَّثُوا ، فَكَثُرَ أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ مِنَ اللَّيْلَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ ، فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَصَلَّى فَصَلَّوْا بِصَلَاتِهِ ، فَلَمَّا كَانَتِ اللَّيْلَةُ الرَّابِعَةُ ، عَجَزَ الْمَسْجِدُ عَنْ أَهْلِهِ حَتَّى خَرَجَ لِصَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى الْفَجْرَ ، أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَتَشَهَّدَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : أَمَّا بَعْدُ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يَخْفَ عَلَيَّ مَكَانُكُمْ ، وَلَكِنِّي خَشِيتُ أَنْ تُفْتَرَضَ عَلَيْكُمْ فَتَعْجِزُوا عَنْهَا ، فَتُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْأَمْرُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ .
