Sahih al-Bukhari 2518
Narrated Abu Dhar: I asked the Prophet, What is the best deed? He replied, To believe in Allah and to fight for His Cause. I then asked, What is the best kind of manumission (of slaves)? He replied, The manumission of the most expensive slave and the most beloved by his master. I said, If I cannot afford to do that? He said, Help the weak or do good for a person who cannot work for himself. I said, If I cannot do that? He said, Refrain from harming others for this will be regarded as a charitable deed for your own good.
حضرت ابوزر ؓ سےروایت ہے، انھوں نے کہا کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے پوچھا: کون سا عمل افضل ہے؟آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’اللہ پرایمان لانا اور اس کی راہ میں جہاد کرنا۔‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا: کون سا غلام آزاد کرنا افضل ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ’’جس کی قیمت زیادہ ہو اور وہ اپنے مالک کی نظر میں نہایت پسندیدہ ہو۔‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا: اگر یہ نہ کرسکوں تو؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ’’تو پھر کسی فاقہ زدہ کی مدد کریا بے ہنر اناڑی کو کوئی کام سکھا دے۔‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا: اگر یہ بھی نہ کرسکوں تو؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ’’تم لوگوں کو نقصان نہ پہنچاؤ یہ بھی ایک صدقہ ہے جو تو نے اپنے اوپر کرنا ہے۔‘‘
Hazrat Abu Zar (radiyallahu anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha ke main ne Nabi Kareem (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) se pucha: Kaun sa amal afzal hai? Aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne farmaya: ''Allah par iman lana aur is ki rah mein jihad karna.'' Main ne arz kiya: Kaun sa ghulam azad karna afzal hai? Aap ne farmaya: ''Jis ki qemat zyada ho aur wo apne malik ki nazar mein nihayat pasandida ho.'' Main ne arz kiya: Agar ye na kar sakon to? Aap ne farmaya: ''To phir kisi faqa-zada ki madad kar ya be-hunar anari ko koi kaam sikha de.'' Main ne arz kiya: Agar ye bhi na kar sakon to? Aap ne farmaya: ''Tum logon ko nuqsan na pahunchao ye bhi ek sadqa hai jo tu ne apne upar karna hai.' '
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُرَاوِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ : إِيمَانٌ بِاللَّهِ وَجِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِهِ ، قُلْتُ : فَأَيُّ الرِّقَابِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ : أَغْلَاهَا ثَمَنًا ، وَأَنْفَسُهَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِهَا ، قُلْتُ : فَإِنْ لَمْ أَفْعَلْ ؟ قَالَ : تُعِينُ ضَايِعًا أَوْ تَصْنَعُ لِأَخْرَقَ ، قَالَ : فَإِنْ لَمْ أَفْعَلْ ؟ قَالَ : تَدَعُ النَّاسَ مِنَ الشَّرِّ ، فَإِنَّهَا صَدَقَةٌ تَصَدَّقُ بِهَا عَلَى نَفْسِكَ .
