Chapter: If the Imam sends some messenger to carry out a certain duty, or orders one to stay at home, will he be given a share from the booty?

Sahih al-Bukhari 3130
Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Uthman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) did not join the Badr battle because he was married to one of the daughters of Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and she was ill. So, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said to him. ‘you will get a reward and a share (from the war booty) similar to the reward and the share of one who has taken part in the Badr battle.’
حضرت ابن عمر ؓسے روایت ہے، انھوں نے فرمایا ککہ حضرت عثمان ؓ غزوہ بدر میں اس لیے حاضر نہ ہوسکے کہ ان کی بیوی جو رسول اللہ ﷺ کی صاحبزادی تھیں، ان دنوں بیمار تھیں۔ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا تھا: ’’(تم ٹھہر جاؤ) تمھیں اس شخص کے برابر ثواب اور حصہ دیا جائے گا جو بدر میں شریک ہوا ہے۔‘‘
Hazrat Ibn Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne farmaya ke Hazrat Usman (Radi Allahu Anhu) Ghazwa-e-Badr mein is liye hazir na ho sake ke un ki biwi jo Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki sahabzadi theen, in dino bimar theen. Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne un se farmaya tha: "(Tum theher jao) Tumhein us shakhs ke barabar sawab aur hissa diya jaye ga jo Badr mein shareek hua hai."
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : إِنَّمَا تَغَيَّبَ عُثْمَانُ عَنْ بَدْرٍ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَتْ تَحْتَهُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَتْ مَرِيضَةً ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّ لَكَ أَجْرَ رَجُلٍ مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَسَهْمَهُ .
