Sahih al-Bukhari 3162
Juwairiya bin Qudama at-Tamimi narrated that they said to Umar bin Al-Khattab ( رضي الله تعالى عنه), the Chief of the believers, advise us.’ He said, ‘I advise you to fulfill Allah's Convention (made with the Dhimmis) as it is the convention of your Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and the source of the livelihood of your dependents (the protection taxes from the Dhimmis).
حضرت جویریہ بن قدامہ تمیمی سے روایت ہے کہ ہم نے حضرت عمر ؓ سے عرض کیا: امیر المومنین! آپ ہمیں کوئی وصیت کریں تو انھوں نے فرمایا: میں تمھیں اللہ کے عہد کی وصیت کرتا ہوں (کہ اس کو پورا کرو) کیونکہ وہ تمہارے نبی کا عہد اورتمہارے بال بچوں کا رزق ہے۔
Hazrat Juwairiyah bin Qudamah Tamimi se riwayat hai ke hum ne Hazrat Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) se arz kiya: Ameer-ul-Momineen! Aap humein koi wasiyat karein to unhon ne farmaya: Main tumhein Allah ke ehd ki wasiyat karta hoon (ke us ko poora karo) kyunke woh tumhare Nabi ka ehd aur tumhare baal bacchon ka rizq hai.
حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَمْرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ بْنَ قُدَامَةَ التَّمِيمِيَّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قُلْنَا أَوْصِنَا يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، قَالَ : أُوصِيكُمْ بِذِمَّةِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّهُ ذِمَّةُ نَبِيِّكُمْ ، وَرِزْقُ عِيَالِكُمْ .
