بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {لَقَدْ كَانَ فِي يُوسُفَ وَإِخْوَتِهِ آيَاتٌ لِلسَّائِلِينَ}

Sahih al-Bukhari 3389
Narrated `Urwa: I asked `Aisha the wife of the Prophet about the meaning of the following Verse: -- (Respite will be granted) 'Until when the apostles give up hope (of their people) and thought that they were denied (by their people)............... (12.110) `Aisha replied, Really, their nations did not believe them. I said, By Allah! They were definite that their nations treated them as liars and it was not a matter of suspecting. `Aisha said, O 'Uraiya (i.e. `Urwa)! No doubt, they were quite sure about it. I said, May the Verse be read in such a way as to mean that the apostles thought that Allah did not help them? Aisha said, Allah forbid! (Impossible) The Apostles did not suspect their Lord of such a thing. But this Verse is concerned with the Apostles' followers who had faith in their Lord and believed in their apostles and their period of trials was long and Allah's Help was delayed till the apostles gave up hope for the conversion of the disbelievers amongst their nation and suspected that even their followers were shaken in their belief, Allah's Help then came to them.
حضرت عروہ بن زبیر سے روایت ہے، انھوں نے نبی ﷺ کی زوجہ محترمہ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے اس آیت کے متعلق سوال کیا: ﴿حَتَّىٰ إِذَا اسْتَيْأَسَ الرُّسُلُ﴾ والی آیت میں كُذِبُوا تشدید کے ساتھ ہے یا بغیر تشدید کے؟ انھوں نے فرمایا : (تشدید کے ساتھ ہے اور مطلب یہ ہےکہ) ان کی قوم نے انھیں جھٹلایا تھا۔ میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کی قسم! انھیں تو یقین تھا کہ ان کی قوم انھیں جھٹلا رہی ہے پھر لفظ "ظن"کیوں استعمال ہوا؟ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے فرمایا: اے چھوٹے سے عروہ! بلاشبہ ان کو تو اس کا یقین تھا۔ میں نے عرض کیا: شاید یہ لفظ تشدید کے بغیر ہو، یعنی پیغمبروں نےخیال کیا کہ ان کے ساتھ جو مدد کا وعدہ کیا گیا تھا وہ صحیح نہیں تھا۔ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے فرمایا: معاذ اللہ! انبیائے کرام اپنے رب کے متعلق ایسا گمان ہر گز نہیں کر سکتے، البتہ اس آیت سے مراد یہ ہے کہ رسولوں کے اتباع (پیروکار ) جواپنے پر ایمان لائے تھے اور انھوں نے اپنے رسول کی تصدیق کی تھی، وہ جب عرصہ دراز تک آزمائش میں رہے اور اللہ کی مدد آنے میں دیر ہوئی اور انبیائے کرام بھی اپنی قوم کے جھٹلائے والوں (کے ایمان لانے) سے ناامید ہو گئے، انھوں نے یہ گمان کیا کہ جو لوگ انھیں ماننے والے ہیں اب وہ بھی انھیں جھوٹا سمجھنے لگیں گے۔ اس وقت اللہ تعالیٰ کی مدد آپہنچی۔ ابو عبد اللہ (امام بخاری ؒ)نے کہا {اسْتَيْأَسُوا} استفعلواکے وزن پر ہے جو يَئِسْتُ مِنْهُ سے نکلا ہے۔ برادران یوسف، حضرت یوسف سے ناامید ہو گئے تھے۔ ﴿وَلَا تَيْأَسُوا مِن رَّوْحِ اللَّهِ﴾ اللہ کی رحمت سے ناامید نہ رہو بلکہ امید وار رہو۔
Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair se riwayat hai, unhon ne Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ki zauja mohtarma Hazrat Aisha (Radi Allahu Anha) se is ayat ke mutalliq sawal kiya: "Hatta iza istay'asar rusulu" wali ayat mein "Kuzibu" tashdeed ke sath hai ya baghair tashdeed ke? Unhon ne farmaya: (Tashdeed ke sath hai aur matlab ye hai ke) un ki qoum ne inhein jhutlaya tha. Mein ne arz kiya: Allah ki qasam! Inhein to yaqeen tha ke un ki qoum inhein jhutla rahi hai phir lafz "Zann" kyun istemal hua? Hazrat Aisha (Radi Allahu Anha) ne farmaya: Aye chhote se Urwah! Bilashuba un ko to is ka yaqeen tha. Mein ne arz kiya: Shayad ye lafz tashdeed ke baghair ho, yani paighambaron ne khayal kiya ke un ke sath jo madad ka wa'da kiya gaya tha wo sahi nahi tha. Hazrat Aisha (Radi Allahu Anha) ne farmaya: Ma'az Allah! Ambiya-e-Karam (Alaihis Salam) apne Rabb ke mutalliq aisa guman har-giz nahi kar sakte, albatta is ayat se murad ye hai ke Rasoolon ke itteba' (peero-kar) jo apne par iman laye the aur unhon ne apne rasool ki tasdeeq ki thi, wo jab arsa-e-daraz tak azmaish mein rahe aur Allah ki madad aane mein dair hui aur Ambiya-e-Karam (Alaihis Salam) bhi apni qoum ke jhutlaye walon (ke iman lane) se na-umeed ho gaye, unhon ne ye guman kiya ke jo log inhein manne wale hain ab wo bhi inhein jhoota samajhne lagein ge. Is waqt Allah Ta'ala ki madad aa pahunchi. Abu Abdullah (Imam Bukhari) ne kaha "Istay'asoo" istafa'alu ke wazan par hai jo "Ya'istu minhu" se nikla hai. Biradaran-e-Yusuf, Hazrat Yusuf (Alaihis Salam) se na-umeed ho gaye the. "Wala tai'asoo min rauhillah" Allah ki rehmat se na-umeed na raho balki umeed-war raho.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَرَأَيْتِ قَوْلَهُ حَتَّى إِذَا اسْتَيْأَسَ الرُّسُلُ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ كُذِبُوا سورة يوسف آية 110 أَوْ كُذِبُوا ، قَالَتْ : بَلْ كَذَّبَهُمْ قَوْمُهُمْ ، فَقُلْتُ : وَاللَّهِ لَقَدِ اسْتَيْقَنُوا أَنَّ قَوْمَهُمْ كَذَّبُوهُمْ وَمَا هُوَ بِالظَّنِّ ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا عُرَيَّةُ لَقَدِ اسْتَيْقَنُوا بِذَلِكَ ، قُلْتُ : فَلَعَلَّهَا أَوْ كُذِبُوا ، قَالَتْ : مَعَاذَ اللَّهِ لَمْ تَكُنِ الرُّسُلُ تَظُنُّ ذَلِكَ بِرَبِّهَا وَأَمَّا هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ ، قَالَتْ : هُمْ أَتْبَاعُ الرُّسُلِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ وَصَدَّقُوهُمْ وَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْبَلَاءُ وَاسْتَأْخَرَ عَنْهُمُ النَّصْرُ حَتَّى إِذَا اسْتَيْأَسَتْ مِمَّنْ كَذَّبَهُمْ مِنْ قَوْمِهِمْ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّ أَتْبَاعَهُمْ كَذَّبُوهُمْ جَاءَهُمْ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد اللَّهِ اسْتَيْأَسُوا سورة يوسف آية 80 افْتَعَلُوا مِنْ يَئِسْتُ مِنْهُ سورة يوسف آية 80مِنْ يُوسُفَ وَلا تَيْأَسُوا مِنْ رَوْحِ اللَّهِ سورة يوسف آية 87 مَعْنَاهُ الرَّجَاءُ .
