Sahih al-Bukhari 3465
Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah's Apostle said, Once three persons (from the previous nations) were traveling, and suddenly it started raining and they took shelter in a cave. The entrance of the cave got closed while they were inside. They said to each other, 'O you! Nothing can save you except the truth, so each of you should ask Allah's Help by referring to such a deed as he thinks he did sincerely (i.e. just for gaining Allah's Pleasure).' So one of them said, 'O Allah! You know that I had a laborer who worked for me for one Faraq (i.e. three Sas) of rice, but he departed, leaving it (i.e. his wages). I sowed that Faraq of rice and with its yield I bought cows (for him). Later on when he came to me asking for his wages, I said (to him), 'Go to those cows and drive them away.' He said to me, 'But you have to pay me only a Faraq of rice,' I said to him, 'Go to those cows and take them, for they are the product of that Faraq (of rice).' So he drove them. O Allah! If you consider that I did that for fear of You, then please remove the rock.' The rock shifted a bit from the mouth of the cave. The second one said, 'O Allah, You know that I had old parents whom I used to provide with the milk of my sheep every night. One night I was delayed and when I came, they had slept, while my wife and children were crying with hunger. I used not to let them (i.e. my family) drink unless my parents had drunk first. So I disliked to wake them up and also disliked that they should sleep without drinking it, I kept on waiting (for them to wake) till it dawned. O Allah! If You consider that I did that for fear of you, then please remove the rock.' So the rock shifted and they could see the sky through it. The (third) one said, 'O Allah! You know that I had a cousin (i.e. my paternal uncle's daughter) who was most beloved to me and I sought to seduce her, but she refused, unless I paid her one-hundred Dinars (i.e. gold pieces). So I collected the amount and brought it to her, and she allowed me to sleep with her. But when I sat between her legs, she said, 'Be afraid of Allah, and do not deflower me but legally. 'I got up and left the hundred Dinars (for her). O Allah! If You consider that I did that for fear of you than please remove the rock. So Allah saved them and they came out (of the cave).
حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’تم لوگوں سے پہلے کا واقعہ ہے کہ تین آدمی کہیں جا رہے تھے۔ اچانک انھیں بارش نے آلیا تو وہ ایک غار میں پناہ لینے پر مجبور ہوگئے۔ اس دوران میں ان پر غار کا منہ بند ہو گیا، تووہ ایک دوسرے سے کہنے لگے کہ اللہ کی قسم! ہمیں اس مصیبت سے صرف سچائی نجات دلائے گی۔ اب ہر شخص اپنے کسی ایسے عمل کو بیان کر کے دعا کرے جسے وہ جانتا ہو کہ اس میں وہ سچا ہے، چنانچہ ان میں سے ایک نے کہا: اے اللہ! تو خوب جانتا ہے کہ میں نے ایک مزدور رکھا تھا، جس نے ایک فَرَق (تین صاع) چاول کے عوض میرا کام کیا، وہ(غصے کی وجہ سے) چلا گیا اور اپنے چاول چھوڑگیا میں نے ان چاولوں کو کاشت کیا اور اس کی پیداوار سے گائے بیل خرید لیے۔ ایک دن وہی شخص میرے پاس آیا اور اپنی مزدوری طلب کی تو میں نے کہا: یہ گائے بیل تیرے ہیں، انھیں ہانک کر لے جاؤ۔ اس نے کہا کہ تمھارے پاس میری اجرت صرف ایک فرق (تین صاع)چاول ہیں۔ میں نے اسے کہا: یہ سب گائے بیل لے جاؤ کیونکہ یہ اسی ایک فَرَق (چاولوں)کی آمدنی ہے۔ آخر وہ گائے بیل لے کر چلا گیا۔ (اے اللہ!) اگر تو جانتا ہے کہ میں نے یہ عمل تیرے ڈر سے کیا تھا تو ہم سے یہ پتھر ہٹا دے، چنانچہ اسی وقت وہ پتھر اپنی جگہ سے تھوڑا سا ہٹ گیا۔ پھر دوسرےشخص نے کہا: اے اللہ! تو جانتا ہے کہ میرے ماں باپ بوڑھے تھے۔ میں ہر رات ان کے لیے بکریاں کا دودھ لے کر جاتا تھا۔ ایک رات اتفاق سے مجھے دیر ہو گئی۔ جب میں آیا تو وہ سوچکے تھے۔ ادھرمیرے بیوی بچے بھوک کی وجہ سے بلبلا رہے تھے۔ اور میری عادت تھی کہ میں جب تک والدین کو دودھ نہ پلا لیتا، بیوی بچوں کو نہیں دیتا تھا۔ اب انھیں بیدار کرنا بھی مجھے گوارا نہ تھا اور انھیں اسی طرح چھوڑدینا بھی مجھے پسند نہ تھا کہ وہ دونوں دودھ نہ پینے کی وجہ سے کم زور ہو جاتے، اس لیے میں ان کے بیدار ہونے کا انتظار کرتا رہا یہاں تک کہ صبح ہو گئی۔ اے اللہ! اگر تو جانتا ہے کہ میں نے یہ کام تیرے خوف کی وجہ سے کیا تھا تو ہماری مشکل دور کردے، چنانچہ اسی وقت پتھر کچھ مزید ہٹ گیا، جس سے انھیں آسمان نظر آنے لگا۔ پھر تیسرے شخص نے کہا: اے اللہ! تو جانتا ہے کہ میری ایک چچا زاد تھی جو مجھے سب سے زیادہ محبوب تھی۔ میں نے ایک دفعہ اس سے اپنی خواہش کو پورا کرنا چاہا مگر اس نے انکار کردیا لیکن اس شرط پر کہ میں اسے سو دینار دوں۔ میں نے مطلوبہ رقم حاصل کرنے کے لیے کو شش کی تو وہ مجھے مل گئی، چنانچہ میں اس کے پاس آیا اور وہ رقم اس کے حوالے کردی۔ اس نے خود کو میرے حوالے کردیا۔ جب میں اس کی دونوں رانوں کے درمیان بیٹھ گیا تو کہنے لگی: اللہ سے ڈر اور اس مہر کو ناحق نہ توڑ۔ میں یہ سنتے ہی اٹھ کھڑا ہوا اور سو دینار بھی واپس نہ لیے۔ اے اللہ! اگر توجانتا ہے کہ میں نے یہ کام تیرے خوف کی وجہ سے کیا تھا تو ہماری مشکل آسان کردے، چنانچہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان سے پتھر ہٹا دیا، اس طرح وہ تینوں باہر نکل آئے۔‘‘
Hazrat Ibn Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Tum logon se pehle ka waqia hai ke teen aadmi kahin ja rahe the. Achanak inhein barish ne aa liya to wo ek ghaar mein panah lene par majboor hogaye. Is dauran mein un par ghaar ka munh band ho gaya, to wo ek doosre se kehne lage ke Allah ki qasam! Hamein is musibat se sirf sachi nijaat dilaye gi. Ab har shakhs apne kisi aise amal ko bayan kar ke dua kare jise wo jaanta ho ke us mein wo sacha hai, chunanche in mein se ek ne kaha: Aye Allah! Tu khoob jaanta hai ke mein ne ek mazdoor rakha tha, jis ne ek faraq (teen saa') chawal ke iwaz mera kaam kiya, wo (ghusse ki wajah se) chala gaya aur apne chawal chhod gaya mein ne in chawalon ko kasht kiya aur us ki paidawar se gaye bail khareed liye. Ek din wahi shakhs mere paas aya aur apni mazdoori talab ki to mein ne kaha: Ye gaye bail tere hain, inhein haank kar le jao. Us ne kaha ke tumhare paas meri ujrat sirf ek faraq (teen saa') chawal hain. Mein ne ise kaha: Ye sab gaye bail le jao kyunke ye isi ek faraq (chawalon) ki amdani hai. Aakhir wo gaye bail le kar chala gaya. (Aye Allah!) Agar tu jaanta hai ke mein ne ye amal tere darr se kiya tha to hum se ye patthar hata de, chunanche usi waqt wo patthar apni jagah se thoda sa hat gaya. Phir doosre shakhs ne kaha: Aye Allah! Tu jaanta hai ke mere maan baap boodhe the. Mein har raat un ke liye bakriyan ka doodh le kar jata tha. Ek raat ittefaq se mujhe dair ho gayi. Jab mein aya to wo so chuke the. Idhar mere biwi bache bhook ki wajah se bilbila rahe the. Aur meri aadat thi ke mein jab tak walidain ko doodh na pila leta, biwi bachon ko nahi deta tha. Ab inhein bidaar karna bhi mujhe gawara na tha aur inhein isi tarah chhod dena bhi mujhe pasand na tha ke wo donon doodh na peene ki wajah se kam-zoor ho jate, is liye mein un ke bidaar hone ka intezar karta raha yahan tak ke subah ho gayi. Aye Allah! Agar tu jaanta hai ke mein ne ye kaam tere khauf ki wajah se kiya tha to hamari mushkil door karde, chunanche usi waqt patthar kuch mazeed hat gaya, jis se inhein aasman nazar aane laga. Phir teesre shakhs ne kaha: Aye Allah! Tu jaanta hai ke meri ek chacha-zad thi jo mujhe sab se ziyada mehboob thi. Mein ne ek dafa us se apni khwahish ko poora karna chaha magar us ne inkar kardiya lekin is shart par ke mein ise sau dinar doon. Mein ne matlooba raqam hasil karne ke liye koshish ki to wo mujhe mil gayi, chunanche mein us ke paas aya aur wo raqam us ke hawale kardi. Us ne khud ko mere hawale kardiya. Jab mein us ki donon raanon ke darmiyan baith gaya to kehne lagi: Allah se darr aur is mohar ko nahaqq na tod. Mein ye sunte hi uth khada hua aur sau dinar bhi wapas na liye. Aye Allah! Agar tu jaanta hai ke mein ne ye kaam tere khauf ki wajah se kiya tha to hamari mushkil asan karde, chunanche Allah Ta'ala ne un se patthar hata diya, is tarah wo teenon bahar nikal aaye."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ خَلِيلٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا ثَلَاثَةُ نَفَرٍ مِمَّنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ يَمْشُونَ إِذْ أَصَابَهُمْ مَطَرٌ فَأَوَوْا إِلَى غَارٍ فَانْطَبَقَ عَلَيْهِمْ ، فَقَالَ : بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ إِنَّهُ وَاللَّهِ يَا هَؤُلَاءِ لَا يُنْجِيكُمْ إِلَّا الصِّدْقُ فَليَدْعُ كُلُّ رَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ بِمَا يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ صَدَقَ فِيهِ ، فَقَالَ : وَاحِدٌ مِنْهُمُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ لِي أَجِيرٌ عَمِلَ لِي عَلَى فَرَقٍ مِنْ أَرُزٍّ فَذَهَبَ وَتَرَكَهُ ، وَأَنِّي عَمَدْتُ إِلَى ذَلِكَ الْفَرَقِ فَزَرَعْتُهُ فَصَارَ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ أَنِّي اشْتَرَيْتُ مِنْهُ بَقَرًا وَأَنَّهُ أَتَانِي يَطْلُبُ أَجْرَهُ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : اعْمِدْ إِلَى تِلْكَ الْبَقَرِ فَسُقْهَا ، فَقَالَ لِي : إِنَّمَا لِي عِنْدَكَ فَرَقٌ مِنْ أَرُزٍّ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : اعْمِدْ إِلَى تِلْكَ الْبَقَرِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْفَرَقِ فَسَاقَهَا فَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ فَفَرِّجْ عَنَّا فَانْسَاحَتْ عَنْهُمُ الصَّخْرَةُ ، فَقَالَ الْآخَرُ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ لِي أَبَوَانِ شَيْخَانِ كَبِيرَانِ ، فَكُنْتُ آتِيهِمَا كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ بِلَبَنِ غَنَمٍ لِي فَأَبْطَأْتُ عَلَيْهِمَا لَيْلَةً فَجِئْتُ وَقَدْ رَقَدَا وَأَهْلِي وَعِيَالِي يَتَضَاغَوْنَ مِنَ الْجُوعِ فَكُنْتُ لَا أَسْقِيهِمْ حَتَّى يَشْرَبَ أَبَوَايَ ، فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أُوقِظَهُمَا وَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَدَعَهُمَا فَيَسْتَكِنَّا لِشَرْبَتِهِمَا ، فَلَمْ أَزَلْ أَنْتَظِرُ حَتَّى طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ فَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ فَفَرِّجْ عَنَّا فَانْسَاحَتْ عَنْهُمُ الصَّخْرَةُ حَتَّى نَظَرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ ، فَقَالَ الْآخَرُ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ لِي ابْنَةُ عَمٍّ مِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ وَأَنِّي رَاوَدْتُهَا عَنْ نَفْسِهَا فَأَبَتْ إِلَّا أَنْ آتِيَهَا بِمِائَةِ دِينَارٍ ، فَطَلَبْتُهَا حَتَّى قَدَرْتُ فَأَتَيْتُهَا بِهَا فَدَفَعْتُهَا إِلَيْهَا فَأَمْكَنَتْنِي مِنْ نَفْسِهَا فَلَمَّا قَعَدْتُ بَيْنَ رِجْلَيْهَا ، فَقَالَتْ : اتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلَا تَفُضَّ الْخَاتَمَ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهِ فَقُمْتُ وَتَرَكْتُ الْمِائَةَ دِينَارٍ فَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ فَفَرِّجْ عَنَّا فَفَرَّجَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ فَخَرَجُوا .
