Sahih al-Bukhari 3892
Ubada bin As-Samit (رضي الله تعالى عنه), who had taken part in the battle of Badr with Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and had been amongst his companions on the night of Al-Aqaba Pledge narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), surrounded by a group of his companions said, ‘come along and give me the pledge of allegiance that you will not worship anything besides Allah, will not steal, will not commit illegal sexual intercourse will not kill your children, will not utter a slander invented by yourself, and will not disobey me if I order you to do something good. Whoever among you will respect and fulfill this pledge, will be rewarded by Allah. And if one of you commits any of these sins and is punished in this world then that will be his expiation for it, and if one of you commits any of these sins and Allah screens his sin, then his matter, will rest with Allah. If He will, He wills punish him and if He wills, He will excuse him.’ So, I gave the pledge of allegiance to him for these conditions.
حضرت عبادہ بن صامت ؓ سے روایت ہے، آپ ان لوگوں میں سے ہیں جنہوں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ اور آپ کے صحابہ کرام ؓ کے ساتھ غزوہ بدر میں شرکت کی تھی اور عقبہ کی رات آپ سے عہد وپیمان کیا تھا، وہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اس وقت فرمایا جب آپ کے پاس صحابہ کی ایک جماعت تھی: ’’آؤ مجھ سے اس بات کا عہد کرو کہ تم اللہ کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہیں ٹھہراؤ گے، نہ چوری کرو گے نہ زنا کرو گے، نہ اپنی اولاد کو قتل کرو گے اور نہ کسی پر ایسا بہتان لگاؤ گے جسے تم نے اپنے ہاتھوں اور پاؤں سے تراشا ہو، نیز اچھی باتوں میں میری نافرمانی بھی نہیں کرو گے۔ تم میں سے جس نے اس عہد کو پورا کیا تو اس کا ثواب اللہ کے ذمے ہے۔ اور جو کوئی ان میں سے کسی کام کا مرتکب ہوا پھر اسے دنیا میں سزا مل گئی تو وہ سزا اس کے لیے کفارہ ہو گی۔ اور جس نے ان میں سے کوئی کام کیا اور اللہ نے اس پر پردہ پوشی کی تو اس کا معاملہ اللہ کے سپرد ہے چاہے تو اسے سزا دے اگر چاہے تو اسے معاف کر دے۔‘‘ چنانچہ میں نے ان امور پر آپ سے بیعت کی۔
Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, Aap in logon mein se hain jinhon ne Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) aur Aap ke Sahaba-e-Kiram (Radi Allahu Anhu) ke sath Ghazwa-e-Badr mein shirkat ki thi aur Aqaba ki raat Aap se ahd o paiman kiya tha, woh bayan karte hain ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne is waqt farmaya jab Aap ke paas Sahaba ki ek jama'at thi: ''Aao mujh se is baat ka ahd karo ke tum Allah ke sath kisi ko shareek nahi thehrao ge, na chori karo ge na zina karo ge, na apni aulad ko qatl karo ge aur na kisi par aisa buhtan lagao ge jise tum ne apne hathon aur paon se tarasha ho, neez acchi baaton mein meri nafarmani bhi nahi karo ge. Tum mein se jis ne is ahd ko poora kiya to is ka sawab Allah ke zimme hai. Aur jo koi in mein se kisi kaam ka murtakib hua phir ise duniya mein saza mil gayi to woh saza is ke liye kaffara ho gi. Aur jis ne in mein se koi kaam kiya aur Allah ne is par parda-poshi ki to is ka maamla Allah ke sipard hai chahe to ise saza de agar chahe to ise maaf kar de.'' Chunanche mein ne in umoor par Aap se bai'at ki.
حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو إِدْرِيسَ عَائِذُ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ عُبَادَةَ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ شَهِدُوا بَدْرًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ لَيْلَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ , أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ وَحَوْلَهُ عِصَابَةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ : تَعَالَوْا بَايِعُونِي عَلَى أَنْ لَا تُشْرِكُوا بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا وَلَا تَسْرِقُوا ، وَلَا تَزْنُوا ، وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ ، وَلَا تَأْتُوا بِبُهْتَانٍ تَفْتَرُونَهُ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَأَرْجُلِكُمْ , وَلَا تَعْصُونِي فِي مَعْرُوفٍ , فَمَنْ وَفَى مِنْكُمْ فَأَجْرُهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ , وَمَنْ أَصَابَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا فَعُوقِبَ بِهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا فَهُوَ لَهُ كَفَّارَةٌ , وَمَنْ أَصَابَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا فَسَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ , فَأَمْرُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ إِنْ شَاءَ عَاقَبَهُ وَإِنْ شَاءَ عَفَا عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : فَبَايَعْتُهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ .
