Sahih al-Bukhari 420
Abdullah bin Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ordered for a horse race; the trained horses were to run from a place called Al-Hafya' to Thaniyat Al-Wada` and the horses which were not trained were to run from Al-Thaniya to the Masjid (mosque of) Bani Zuraiq. The sub narrator added: Ibn `Umar ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) was one of those who took part in the race.
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے، ایک دفعہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے تیار شدہ گھوڑوں کی دوڑ مقام حفیاء سے ثنیۃ الوداع تک، اور غیر تیار شدہ گھوڑوں کی دوڑ ثنیۃ الوفاع سے مسجد بنی زریق تک کرائی۔ اور عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ بھی ان لوگوں میں شامل تھے جنہوں نے اس دوڑ میں حصہ لیا تھا۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Raziallahu Anhuma) se riwayat hai, ek dafa Rasool Allah (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne tayyar shuda ghodon ki daud maqam Hufaya se Sanaiyat-ul-Wada tak, aur ghair tayyar shuda ghodon ki daud Sanaiyat-ul-Wada se Masjid Bani Zuraiq tak karayi. Aur Abdullah bin Umar (Raziallahu Anhuma) bhi un logon mein shamil the jinhon ne is daud mein hissa liya tha.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَابَقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الَّتِي أُضْمِرَتْ مِنَ الْحَفْيَاءِ وَأَمَدُهَا ثَنِيَّةُ الْوَدَاعِ ، وَسَابَقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الَّتِي لَمْ تُضْمَرْ مِنَ الثَّنِيَّةِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ ، وَأَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ فِيمَنْ سَابَقَ بِهَا .
