Sahih al-Bukhari 4534
Narrated Zaid bin Arqam: We used to speak while in prayer. One of us used to speak to his brother (while in prayer) about his need, till the Verse was revealed:-- Guard strictly the (five obligatory) prayers, especially the middle (the Best) (`Asr) Prayer and stand before Allah with obedience (and not to speak to others during the prayers). Then we were ordered not to speak in the prayers.
حضرت زید بن ارقم ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا: ہم نماز میں بات چیت کر لیا کرتے تھے۔ ہم میں سے کوئی بھی اپنے بھائی سے ضروری بات کر لیتا تھا حتی کہ یہ آیت نازل ہوئی: "تمام نمازوں کی حفاظت کرو خاص طور پر نماز وسطیٰ کا اہتمام کرو۔ اور اللہ کے حضور خاموشی سے کھڑے ہوا کرو۔ــــــ چنانچہ ہمیں اس آیت کے ذریعے سے دوران نماز میں چپ رہنے کا حکم دیا گیا۔
Hazrat Zaid bin Arqam (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha: Hum namaz mein baat cheet kar liya karte the. Hum mein se koi bhi apne bhai se zaroori baat kar leta tha hatta ke yeh ayat nazil hui: "Tamam namazon ki hifazat karo khaas taur par Namaz-e-Wusta ka ehtimam karo. Aur Allah ke huzoor khamoshi se khare hua karo." Chunanche humein is ayat ke zariye se dauran-e-namaz mein chup rehne ka hukm diya gaya.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ , حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى , عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ , عَنْ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ شُبَيْلٍ , عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ , قَالَ : كُنَّا نَتَكَلَّمُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ يُكَلِّمُ أَحَدُنَا أَخَاهُ فِي حَاجَتِهِ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلاةِ الْوُسْطَى وَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَانِتِينَ سورة البقرة آية 238 ، فَأُمِرْنَا بِالسُّكُوتِ .
