"Verily! The worst of (moving) living creatures with Allah are the deaf and the dumb, those who understand not (i.e., the disbelievers) ." (V.8:22)

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: Regarding the Verse: Verily! The worst of beasts in the Sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb---- those who understand not. (8.22) (The people referred to here) were some persons from the tribe of Bani `Abd-Addar.
حضرت ابن عباس ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے اس آیت "بدترین حیوانات اللہ کے نزدیک وہ بہرے گونگے ہیں جو عقل سے ذرا کام نہیں لیتے۔" کے متعلق فرمایا: یہ آیت بنو عبدالدار کے کچھ لوگوں کے متعلق نازل ہوئی تھی۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne is ayat \"Bad-tareen haywanat Allah ke nazdeek woh behre goonge hain jo aql se zara kaam nahi lete.\" ke mutaliq farmaya: Yeh ayat Banu Abd-al-Dar ke kuch logon ke mutaliq nazil hui thi.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، إِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَابِّ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الصُّمُّ الْبُكْمُ الَّذِينَ لا يَعْقِلُونَ سورة الأنفال آية 22 ، قَالَ : هُمْ نَفَرٌ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ .
