The Statement of Allah the Exalted: "...And glorify the praises of your Lord, before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting (i.e., the Fajr, Ẓuhr and 'Aṣr prayers) ." (V.50:39)

Sahih al-Bukhari 4851
Narrated Jarir bin `Abdullah: We were in the company of the Prophet on a fourteenth night (of the lunar month), and he looked at the (full) moon and said, You will see your Lord as you see this moon, and you will have no trouble in looking at Him. So, whoever can, should not miss the offering of prayers before sunrise (Fajr prayer) and before sunset (`Asr prayer). Then the Prophet recited: 'And celebrate the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting.' (50.39)
حضرت جریر بن عبداللہ ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا: ہم ایک رات نبی ﷺ کے ہمراہ بیٹھے ہوئے تھے۔ آپ نے چودھویں رات کے چاند کی طرف دیکھا تو فرمایا: ’’یقینا تم اپنے رب کو دیکھو گے جس طرح تم اس چاند کو دیکھ رہے ہو۔ اسے دیکھنے میں تمہیں دھکم پیل نہیں کرنی پڑے گی، اس لیے اگر تمہارے لیے ممکن ہو تو طلوع آفتاب اور غروب آفتاب سے پہلے نماز نہ چھوڑو۔‘‘ پھر آپ نے یہ آیت پڑھی: ’’آفتاب نکلنے اور غروب ہونے سے پہلے اپنے رب کی حمد کے ساتھ تسبیح کرتے رہیں۔‘‘
Hazrat Jareer bin Abdullah (Radiyallahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha: Hum ek raat Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke hamrah baithe hue thay. Aap ne chaudhween raat ke chaand ki taraf dekha to farmaya: ''Yaqeenan tum apne Rabb ko dekho ge jis tarah tum is chaand ko dekh rahe ho. Isay dekhne mein tumhen dhakkam-pel nahi karni pade gi, is liye agar tumhare liye mumkin ho to tulu-e-aaftab aur ghuroob-e-aaftab se pehle namaz na chhodo.'' Phir aap ne yeh aayat padhi: ''Aaftab nikalne aur ghuroob hone se pehle apne Rabb ki hamd ke saath tasbeeh karte rahen.''
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا جُلُوسًا لَيْلَةً مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَى الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ رَبَّكُمْ كَمَا تَرَوْنَ هَذَا ، لَا تُضَامُونَ فِي رُؤْيَتِهِ ، فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ لَا تُغْلَبُوا عَلَى صَلَاةٍ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا فَافْعَلُوا ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ : وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ الْغُرُوبِ سورة ق آية 39 .
