Sahih al-Bukhari 5203
Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that one morning we saw the wives of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) weeping, and every one of them had her family with her, I went to the mosque and found that it was crowded with people. Then Umar bin Al-Khattab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) came and went up to the Prophet (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) who was in his upper room. He greeted him but nobody answered. He greeted again, but nobody answered. Then the gatekeeper called him, and he went to the Prophet (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) and asked, ‘have you divorced your wives?’ The Prophet (صلى ہللا عل يه و آله وسلم), said, ‘no, but I have taken an oath not to go to them for one month.’ So the Prophet (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) stayed away (from his wives) for twenty-nine days and then went to them.
سیدنا ابن عباس ؓ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے فرمایا: ایک دن ہم نے صبح کے وقت دیکھا کہ نبی ﷺ کی بیویاں رو رہی ہیں۔ ان میں سے ہر ایک ساتھ اس کے اہل خانہ بھی جمع تھے۔ میں مسجد گیا، کیا دیکھتا ہوں کہ مسجد لوگوں سے بھری ہوئی ہے۔ سیدنا عمر ؓ تشریف لائے تو نبی ﷺ کی طرف گئے جبکہ آپ بالا خانے میں تھی لیکن انہیں کسی نے جواب نہ دیا۔ انہوں نے پھر سلام کیا تو بھی کسی طرف سے جواب نہ آیا۔ پھر سلام کیا تو بھی جواب نہ آیا۔ پھر جب کسی نے انہیں آواز دی وہ نبی ﷺ کے پاس اوپر پہنچ گئے۔ اور جاتے ہی عرض کی: آپ نے اپنی بیویوں کو طلاق دے دی ہے؟ آپ نے جواب دیا: ”نہیں“ البتہ مہینہ بھر ان کے پاس نہ جانے کی قسم اٹھائی ہے اس نے بعد آپ انتیس دن تک بالاخانہ میں ٹھہرے، پھر اپنی بیویوں کے پاس تشریف لے آئے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhu) se riwayat hai unhon ne farmaya: Aik din hum ne subah ke waqt dekha ke Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ki biwiyan ro rahi hain. In mein se har aik ke sath is ke ahl-e-khana bhi jama thay. Mein masjid gaya, kya dekhta hoon ke masjid logon se bhari hui hai. Sayyidna Umar (radi Allahu anhu) tashreef laye to Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ki taraf gaye jabke Aap bala khane mein theen lekin unhen kisi ne jawab na diya. Unhon ne phir salam kiya to bhi kisi taraf se jawab na aaya. Phir salam kiya to bhi jawab na aaya. Phir jab kisi ne unhen awaaz di woh Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ke paas oopar pahunch gaye. Aur jaate hi arz ki: Aap ne apni biwiyon ko talaq de di hai? Aap ne jawab diya: "Nahi" albatta mahina bhar un ke paas na jaane ki qasam uthai hai is ke baad Aap untees din tak bala khana mein thehre, phir apni biwiyon ke paas tashreef le aaye.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَعْفُورٍ ، قَالَ : تَذَاكَرْنَا عِنْدَ أَبِي الضُّحَى ، فَقَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : أَصْبَحْنَا يَوْمًا وَنِسَاءُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبْكِينَ عِنْدَ كُلِّ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْهُنَّ أَهْلُهَا ، فَخَرَجْتُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَإِذَا هُوَ مَلْآنُ مِنَ النَّاسِ ، فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ، فَصَعِدَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي غُرْفَةٍ لَهُ ، فَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ أَحَدٌ ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ أَحَدٌ ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ أَحَدٌ ، فَنَادَاهُ فَدَخَلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : أَطَلَّقْتَ نِسَاءَكَ ؟ فَقَالَ : لَا ، وَلَكِنْ آلَيْتُ مِنْهُنَّ شَهْرًا ، فَمَكَثَ تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ ، ثُمَّ دَخَلَ عَلَى نِسَائِهِ .
