Sahih al-Bukhari 5486
Adi bin Hatim (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated, ‘O Allah’s Apostle (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم)! I let lose my hound after a game and mention Allah's Name on sending it.’ The Prophet ( صلى ہللاعليه و آله وسلم) said, ‘if you let loose your hound after a game and you mention Allah's Name on sending it and the hound catches and kills the game and eats of it, then you should not eat of it, for it has killed it for itself.’ I said, ‘sometimes when I send my hound after a game, I find another hound along with it and I do not know which of them has caught the game.’ He said, ‘you must not eat of it because you have not mentioned, the Name of Allah except on sending your own hound, and you did not mention it on the other hound.’ Then I asked him about the game hunted with a Mi'rad (a sharp edged piece of wood or a piece of wood provided with a sharp piece of iron used for hunting). He said, ‘if the game is killed with its sharp edge, you can eat of it, but if it is killed by its broad side (shaft), you cannot eat of it, for then it is like an animal beaten to death with a piece of wood.’
سیدنا عدی بن حاتم ؓ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے عرض کی: اللہ کے رسول! میں اپنا کتا چھوڑتا ہوں اور اس پر بسم اللہ پڑھتا ہوں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جب تو بسم اللہ پڑھ کر کتا چھوڑے اور وہ شکار پکڑ کر اسے مار دے، پھر اس سے کچھ کھالے تو اسے مت کھا کیونکہ اس نے یہ شکار اپنے لیے پکڑا ہے۔“ میں نے عرض کی: اپنا کتا چھوڑتا ہوں، پھر اس کے پاس کوئی دوسرا کتا پاتا ہوں اور مجھے معلوم نہیں کہ یہ شکار کس نے پکڑا ہے؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ایسا شکار نہ کھاؤ کیونکہ تم نے اپنے کتے پر بسم اللہ پڑھی تھی دوسرے کتے پر نہیں پڑھی تھی۔“ اس کے بعد میں نے نوکدار لکڑی سے شکار کے متعلق پوچھا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”اگر شکار نوک کی دھار سے مرا ہو تو اسے کھا لو اگر تو نے اسے عرض کے بل زخمی کیا ہے تو ایسا شکار ضرب سے مرا ہے اسے مت کھاؤ۔“
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (radiyallahu anhu) se riwayat hai unhon ne kaha ke mein ne arz ki: Allah ke Rasool! Mein apna kutta chhorta hoon aur is par Bismillah parhta hoon? Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: ‘Jab tu Bismillah parh kar kutta chhore aur wo shikar pakar kar ise maar de, phir is se kuch khale to ise mot kha kyunke is ne yeh shikar apne liye pakra hai.’ Mein ne arz ki: Apna kutta chhorta hoon, phir is ke paas koi doosra kutta pata hoon aur mujhe maloom nahi ke yeh shikar kis ne pakra hai? Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: ‘Aisa shikar na khao kyunke tum ne apne kutte par Bismillah parhi thi doosre kutte par nahi parhi thi.’ Is ke baad mein ne nokdar lakri se shikar ke mutalliq poocha to Aap ne farmaya: ‘Agar shikar nok ki dhaar se mara ho to ise kha lo agar tu ne ise arz ke bal zakhmi kiya hai to aisa shikar zarb se mara hai ise mat khao.’
حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي السَّفَرِ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أُرْسِلُ كَلْبِي وَأُسَمِّي ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِذَا أَرْسَلْتَ كَلْبَكَ وَسَمَّيْتَ فَأَخَذَ فَقَتَلَ فَأَكَلَ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ ، فَإِنَّمَا أَمْسَكَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ ، قُلْتُ : إِنِّي أُرْسِلُ كَلْبِي أَجِدُ مَعَهُ كَلْبًا آخَرَ لَا أَدْرِي أَيُّهُمَا أَخَذَهُ ، فَقَالَ : لَا تَأْكُلْ فَإِنَّمَا سَمَّيْتَ عَلَى كَلْبِكَ وَلَمْ تُسَمِّ عَلَى غَيْرِهِ ، وَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ ؟ فَقَالَ : إِذَا أَصَبْتَ بِحَدِّهِ فَكُلْ ، وَإِذَا أَصَبْتَ بِعَرْضِهِ فَقَتَلَ فَإِنَّهُ وَقِيذٌ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ .
