Sahih al-Bukhari 5723
Nazi narrated that Abdullah bin Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said that the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘fever is from the heat of Hell, so put it out (cool it) with water.’ Nafi added that Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) used to say, ‘O Allah! Relieve us from the punishment,’ (when he suffered from fever).
حضرت ابن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے وہ نبی ﷺ سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ آپ نے فرمایا: ”بخار جہنم کی بھاپ سے ہے لہذا تم اس (بھاپ) کو پانی سے بجھاؤ۔“ نافع سے بیان کرتے ہیں: حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ کو جب بخار آتا تو یوں دعا کرتے: (اے اللہ!) ہم سے اس عذاب کو دور کر دے۔
Sayyiduna Ibn-e-Umar (radiyallahu anhu) se riwayat hai wo Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) se bayan karte hain ke aap ne farmaya: ‘Bukhar jahannum ki bhaap se hai lehaza tum is (bhaap) ko pani se bujhao.’ Nafi se bayan karte hain: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (radiyallahu anhu) ko jab bukhar aata to yun dua karte: (Ae Allah!) Hum se is azab ko door kar de.
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : الْحُمَّى مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ فَأَطْفِئُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ ، قَالَ نَافِعٌ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ : اكْشِفْ عَنَّا الرِّجْزَ .
