Sahih al-Bukhari 5866
Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated, ‘Allah’s Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) wore a gold ring or a silver ring and placed its stone towards the palm of his hand and had the name “Muhammad Rasoolallah, the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)” engraved on it. The people also started wearing gold rings like it, but when the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) saw them wearing such rings, he threw away his own ring and said, ‘I will never wear it,’ and then wore a silver ring, whereupon the people too started wearing silver rings. Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) added, ‘after the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), Abu Bakr ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) wore the ring, and then Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) and then Uthman ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) wore it till it fell in the Aris well from Uthman (رضي الله تعالى عنه).
سیدبا عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے سونے یا چاندی کی ایک انگوٹھی بنوائی اور اس کا نگینہ ہتھیلی کی طرف رکھا اور اس پر "محمد رسول اللہ'' کے الفاظ کندہ کرائے۔ دوسرے لوگوں نے بھی اسی طرح کی انگوٹھیاں بنوا لیں۔ جب آپ نے دیکھا کو لوگوں نے بھی اسی طرح کی انگوٹھیاں بنوا لی ہیں تو آپ نے انگوٹھی کو اتار پھینکا اور فرمایا: ”اب میں اسے کبھی نہیں پہنوں گا۔“ پھر آپ نے چاندی کی انگوٹھیاں بنوا لیں۔ حضرت ابن عمر ؓ نے فرمایا کہ نبی ﷺ کے بعد اس انگوٹھی کو حضرت ابوبکر صدیق ؓ نے پہنا، پھر حضرت عمر بن خطاب ؓ نے پھر حضرت عثمان بن عفان ؓ نے (اسے پہنا) پھر حضرت عثمان بن عفان ؓ سے وہ انگوٹھی اریس کے کنویں میں گر گئی۔
Sayyidina Abdullah bin Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne sone ya chaandi ki ek angoothi banwayi aur us ka nagina hatheli ki taraf rakha aur us par "Muhammad Rasul Allah" ke alfaaz kunda karaye. Doosre logon ne bhi isi tarah ki angoothiyan banwa lien. Jab aap ne dekha ke logon ne bhi isi tarah ki angoothiyan banwa li hain to aap ne angoothi ko utaar phenka aur farmaya: "Ab mein isay kabhi nahi pehnoon ga." Phir aap ne chaandi ki angoothiyan banwa lien. Hazrat Ibn Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne farmaya ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke baad is angoothi ko Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne pehna, phir Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne, phir Hazrat Uthman bin Affan (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne (isay pehna) phir Hazrat Uthman bin Affan (Radi Allahu Anhu) se wo angoothi Aris ke kunvein mein gir gayi.
حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ أَوْ فِضَّةٍ وَجَعَلَ فَصَّهُ مِمَّا يَلِي كَفَّهُ ، وَنَقَشَ فِيهِ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ، فَاتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ مِثْلَهُ ، فَلَمَّا رَآهُمْ قَدِ اتَّخَذُوهَا رَمَى بِهِ ، وَقَالَ : لَا أَلْبَسُهُ أَبَدًا ، ثُمَّ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ ، فَاتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَ الْفِضَّةِ ، قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : فَلَبِسَ الْخَاتَمَ بَعْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ عُمَرُ ثُمَّ عُثْمَانُ ، حَتَّى وَقَعَ مِنْ عُثْمَانَ فِي بِئْرِ أَرِيسَ .
