Sahih al-Bukhari 5876
Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated, ‘the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) had ta golden ring made for himself, and when he wore it, he used to turn its stone toward the palm of his hand. So the people too had gold made for themselves. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) then ascended the pulpit, and after glorifying and praising Allah, he said, ‘I had it made for me, but now I will never wear it again.’ He threw it away, and then the people threw away their rings too. Juwairiya, a sub narrator, said, ‘I think Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was wearing the ring in his right hand.’
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ نبی ﷺ نے پہلے ایک سونے کی انگوٹھی بنوائی۔ آپ نے جس اسے پہنا تو اس کا نگینہ ہتھیلی کی اندر کی طرف کیا۔ لوگوں نے بھی سونے کی انگوٹھیاں بنوا لیں۔ آپ منبر پر جلوہ افروز ہوئے اللہ تعالٰی کی حمد وثناء کے بعد فرمایا: میں نے سونے کی انگوٹھی بنوائی تھی لیکن میں اب اسے نہیں پہنوں گا۔ پھرآپ نے وہ انگوٹھی پھینک دی تو لوگوں نے بھی انگوٹھیاں پھینک دیں جویریہ نے کہا: مجھے یاد ہے کہ انہوں نے دائیں ہاتھ میں پہننے کے الفاظ بیان کیے تھے۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhone bayan kiya ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne pehle ek sone ki angoothi banwayi. Aap ne jab usay pehna to us ka nagina hatheli ki andar ki taraf kiya. Logon ne bhi sone ki angoothiyan banwa lien. Aap mimbar par jalwa-afroz hue Allah Ta'ala ki hamd-o-sana ke baad farmaya: "Mein ne sone ki angoothi banwayi thi lekin mein ab isay nahi pehnoon ga." Phir aap ne wo angoothi phenk di to logon ne bhi angoothiyan phenk dien. Juwairiya ne kaha: Mujhe yaad hai ke unhone dayein haath mein pehenne ke alfaaz bayan kiye thay.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اصْطَنَعَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَجَعَلَ فَصَّهُ فِي بَطْنِ كَفِّهِ إِذَا لَبِسَهُ ، فَاصْطَنَعَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، فَرَقِيَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي كُنْتُ اصْطَنَعْتُهُ وَإِنِّي لَا أَلْبَسُهُ فَنَبَذَهُ فَنَبَذَ النَّاسُ ، قَالَ جُوَيْرِيَةُ : وَلَا أَحْسِبُهُ إِلَّا قَالَ : فِي يَدِهِ الْيُمْنَى .
