Sahih al-Bukhari 598
Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) came cursing the disbelievers (of Quraish) on the day of Al-Khandaq (the battle of Trench) and said, "I could not offer the `Asr prayer till the sun had set. Then we went to Buthan and he offered the (Asr) prayer after sunset and then he offered the Maghrib prayer.
حضرت جابر ؓ سے روایت ہے، حضرت عمر ؓ غزوہ خندق کے دن کفار قریش کو برا بھلا کہنے لگے اور عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میں غروب آفتاب تک بمشکل نماز عصر پڑھ سکا ہوں۔ حضرت جابر ؓ کہتے ہیں: پھر ہم لوگ وادی بطحان میں گئے، تب آپ نے آفتاب غروب ہو جانے کے بعد نماز (عصر) پڑھی، اس کے بعد نماز مغرب ادا فرمائی۔
Hazrat Jabir (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, Hazrat Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) Ghazwa-e-Khandaq ke din kuffar-e-Quraish ko bura bhala kehne lage aur arz kiya: Allah ke Rasul! mein ghuroob-e-aftab tak bamushkil namaz-e-asar parh saka hoon. Hazrat Jabir (Radi Allahu Anhu) kehte hain: Phir hum log Wadi-e-Buthan mein gaye, tab aap ne aftab ghuroob ho jane ke baad namaz (asar) parhi, is ke baad namaz-e-maghrib ada farmayi.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ ، قَالَ : جَعَلَ عُمَرُ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ يَسُبُّ كُفَّارَهُمْ ، وَقَالَ : مَا كِدْتُ أُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ حَتَّى غَرَبَتْ ، قَالَ : فَنَزَلْنَا بُطْحَانَ فَصَلَّى بَعْدَ مَا غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ .
