Sahih al-Bukhari 621
Abdullah bin Mas`ud ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, "The Adhan pronounced by Bilal (رضي الله تعالى عنه) should not stop you from taking Suhur, for he pronounces the Adhan at night, so that the one offering the late night prayer (Tahajjud) from among you might hurry up and the sleeping from among you might wake up. It does not mean that dawn or morning has started." Then he (the Prophet ﷺ) pointed with his fingers and raised them up (towards the sky) and then lowered them (towards the earth) like this (Ibn Mas`ud - رضي الله تعالى عنهimitated the gesture of the Prophet ﷺ). Az-Zuhri gestured with his two index fingers which he put on each other and then stretched them to the right and left. These gestures illustrate the way real dawn appears. It spreads left and right horizontally. The dawn that appears in the high sky and lowers down is not the real dawn) .
حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود ؓ سے روایت ہے، وہ نبی ﷺ سے بیان کرتے ہیں، آپ نے فرمایا: ’’تم میں سے کوئی بلال کی اذان سن کر سحری کھانا ترک نہ کرے کیونکہ وہ رات کو اذان دیتا ہے تاکہ تہجد پڑھنے والا لوٹ جائے اور جو ابھی سویا ہوا ہو، اسے بیدار کر دے اور فجر ایسے نہیں ہے۔‘‘ آپ نے اپنی انگلیوں سے اشارہ کرتے ہوئے پہلے ان کو اوپر اٹھایا پھر آہستہ آہستہ نیچے کی طرف جھکایا، پھر فرمایا: ’’فجر اس طرح ہوتی ہے۔‘‘ زہیر راوی نے وضاحت کی کہ آپ نے اپنی دونوں شہادت کی انگلیاں ایک دوسری کے اوپر رکھ کر انہیں دائیں بائیں پھیلا دیا، یعنی دونوں گوشوں میں روشنی پھیل جائے تو صبح ہوتی ہے۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ood (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, wo Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se bayan karte hain, aap ne farmaya: ''Tum mein se koi Bilal ki azan sun kar sehri khana tark na kare kyunke wo raat ko azan deta hai takay tahajjud parhne wala laut jaye aur jo abhi soya hua ho, ise bidaar kar de aur fajr aise nahi hai.'' Aap ne apni unglion se ishara karte hue pehle un ko oopar uthaya phir ahista ahista neeche ki taraf jhukaya, phir farmaya: ''Fajr is tarah hoti hai.'' Zuhair rawi ne wazahat ki ke aap ne apni dono shahadat ki unglian ek doosre ke oopar rakh kar unhein dayain bayain phaila diya, yani dono goshon mein roshni phail jaye to subah hoti hai.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : لَا يَمْنَعَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ أَوْ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ أَذَانُ بِلَالٍ مِنْ سَحُورِهِ ، فَإِنَّهُ يُؤَذِّنُ أَوْ يُنَادِي بِلَيْلٍ لِيَرْجِعَ قَائِمَكُمْ وَلِيُنَبِّهَ نَائِمَكُمْ ، وَلَيْسَ أَنْ يَقُولَ الْفَجْرُ أَوِ الصُّبْحُ ، وَقَالَ : بأَصَابِعِهِ وَرَفَعَهَا إِلَى فَوْقُ وَطَأْطَأَ إِلَى أَسْفَلُ حَتَّى يَقُولَ هَكَذَا ، وَقَالَ زُهَيْرٌ : بِسَبَّابَتَيْهِ إِحْدَاهُمَا فَوْقَ الْأُخْرَى ثُمَّ مَدَّهَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَشِمَالِهِ .
