Sahih al-Bukhari 6328
Narrated `Abdullah: We used to say in the prayer: 'AsSalam be on Allah, As-Salam be on so-and so.' So one day the Prophet said to us, Allah Himself is As-Salam; when anyone of you sits during his prayer, he should say: 'at-tah, iyyatu-li l-lahi,' up to 'As-Salihin,' (All the compliments are for Allah ...righteous people) for when he recites this, then he says his Salam to all the righteous people present in the heavens and on the earth. Then he should say, 'I testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and His Apostle,' and then he can select whatever he likes to celebrate (Allah's) Praises.
حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود ؓ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم نماز میں یہ کہا کرتے تھے: اللہ پر سلام ہو فلاں پر سلام ہو، تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تو خود سلام ہے، اس لیے جب تم میں سے کوئی نماز میں بیٹھے تو کہے: التحیات للہ۔ ۔ ۔ ۔ ۔ الصالحین تک۔ جب نماز پڑھنے والا یہ کہے گا تو اسکا سلام زمین وآسمان میں رہنے والے اللہ کے ہر نیک بندے کو پہنچے گا۔ «أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ» اسکے بعد اسے ثنا یعنی دعا میں اختیار ہے جو چاہے مانگے۔“
Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai unhon ne kaha ke hum namaz mein yeh kaha karte thay: Allah par salam ho falan par salam ho, to Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: ”Allah to khud salam hai, is liye jab tum mein se koi namaz mein baithe to kahe: Attahiyatu lillahi. . . . . as-Salihin tak. Jab namaz parhne wala yeh kahe ga to iska salam zameen-o-aasman mein rehne wale Allah ke har naik bande ko pohanche ga. «ASH-HADU ALLA ILAHA ILLALLAHU, WA ASH-HADU ANNA MUHAMMADAN ABDUHU WA RASULUH» iske baad ise thana yaani dua mein ikhtiyar hai jo chahe maange.”
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا نَقُولُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى فُلَانٍ ، فَقَالَ لَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ السَّلَامُ ، فَإِذَا قَعَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ ، فَلْيَقُلْ : التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ : الصَّالِحِينَ ، فَإِذَا قَالَهَا أَصَابَ كُلَّ عَبْدٍ لِلَّهِ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ صَالِحٍ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ، ثُمَّ يَتَخَيَّرُ مِنَ الثَّنَاءِ مَا شَاءَ .
