Sahih al-Bukhari 6619
Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that she asked Allah's Apostle ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) about the plague. He said, ‘that was a means of torture which Allah used to send upon whom-so-ever He wished, but He made it a source of mercy for the believers, for anyone who is residing in a town in which this disease is present, and remains there and does not leave that town, but has patience and hopes for Allah's reward, and knows that nothing will befall him except what Allah has written for him, then he will get such reward as that of a martyr.’
حضرت عائشہ ؓ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے طاعون کے متعلق دریافت کیا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”طاعون ایک عذاب تھا اللہ جس پر چاہتا اسے نازل کرتا لیکن اللہ تعالٰی نے اہل ایمان کے حق میں اسے باعث رحمت بنا دیا ہے لہذا جو شخص طاعون میں مبتلا ہو اور یہ یقین رکھتا ہو جو کچھ اس کے مقدر میں لکھا جا چکا ہے اس کے علاوہ اسے کوئی تکلیف نہیں پہنچ سکتی، پھر صبر کے ساتھ ثواب کی امید میں اسی شہر میں پڑا رہے تو اسے شہید کے برابر ثواب ملتا ہے۔“
Hazrat Ayesha (Razi Allahu Anha) se riwayat hai unhon ne Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se ta'oon ke mutallaq daryaft kiya toh Aap ne farmaya: 'Ta'oon ek azab tha Allah jis par chahta ise nazil karta lekin Allah Ta'ala ne ahl-e-iman ke haq mein ise baais-e-rahmat bana diya hai lehaza jo shakhs ta'oon mein mubtala ho aur yeh yaqeen rakhta ho jo kuch us ke muqaddar mein likha ja chuka hai us ke alawah ise koi takleef nahi pahunch sakti, phir sabr ke saath sawab ki umeed mein isi shehar mein pada rahe toh ise shaheed ke barabar sawab milta hai.'
حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْفُرَاتِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، أَخْبَرَتْهُ : أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الطَّاعُونِ ؟ فَقَالَ : كَانَ عَذَابًا يَبْعَثُهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ يَشَاءُ فَجَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ رَحْمَةً لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَكُونُ فِي بَلَدٍ يَكُونُ فِيهِ ، وَيَمْكُثُ فِيهِ لَا يَخْرُجُ مِنَ الْبَلَدِ ، صَابِرًا مُحْتَسِبًا ، يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ لَا يُصِيبُهُ إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ ، إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ شَهِيدٍ .
