Sahih al-Bukhari 7046
Narrated Ibn `Abbas: A man came to Allah's Apostle and said, I saw in a dream, a cloud having shade. Butter and honey were dropping from it and I saw the people gathering it in their hands, some gathering much and some a little. And behold, there was a rope extending from the earth to the sky, and I saw that you (the Prophet) held it and went up, and then another man held it and went up and (after that) another (third) held it and went up, and then after another (fourth) man held it, but it broke and then got connected again. Abu Bakr said, O Allah's Apostle! Let my father be sacrificed for you! Allow me to interpret this dream. The Prophet said to him, Interpret it. Abu Bakr said, The cloud with shade symbolizes Islam, and the butter and honey dropping from it, symbolizes the Qur'an, its sweetness dropping and some people learning much of the Qur'an and some a little. The rope which is extended from the sky to the earth is the Truth which you (the Prophet) are following. You follow it and Allah will raise you high with it, and then another man will follow it and will rise up with it and another person will follow it and then another man will follow it but it will break and then it will be connected for him and he will rise up with it. O Allah's Apostle! Let my father be sacrificed for you! Am I right or wrong? The Prophet replied, You are right in some of it and wrong in some. Abu Bakr said, O Allah's Prophet! By Allah, you must tell me in what I was wrong. The Prophet said, Do not swear.
حضرت ابن عباس ؓ سے روایت ہے وہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور کہا: میں آج رات خواب میں دیکھا ہے کہ بادل کے ٹکڑے سے گھی اور شہد ٹپک رہا ہے۔ میں لوگوں کو دیکھتا ہوں کہ وہ اپنے ہاتھوں میں لے رہے ہیں۔ کچھ زیادہ اور کچھ کم۔ پھر اچانک ایک رسی دیکھی جو آسمان سے زمین کی طرف لٹک رہی ہے۔ میں نے آپ کو دیکھا آپ نے اس رسی کو پکڑا اور اوپر چڑھ گئے۔ پھر ایک اور صاحب آئے وہ بھی رسی کوپکڑا تو رسی ٹوٹ گئی اور پھر جڑ گئی۔ حضرت ابوبکر صدیق ؓ نے عرض کی: اللہ کے رسول میرے ماں باپ آپ پر قربان ہوں، مجھے اجازت دیں میں اسکی تعبیر کروں۔ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ہاں، آپ اس کی تعبیر کریں۔“ حضرت ابوبکر صدیق ؓ نے کہا:بادل سے مراد دین اسلام ہے۔ جو گھی اور شہد ٹپک رہا تھا وہ قرآن کریم کی حلاوت اور مٹھاس ہے کچھ لوگ اسے زیادہ لینے والے ہیں اور کچھ لوگوں کی قسمت میں تھوڑا حصہ ہے اور آسمان سے زمین تک لٹکنے والی رسی سے مراد وہ سچا طریق حق ہے جس پر آپ گامزن ہیں اور آپ سے پکڑے ہوئے ہیں۔ اللہ تعالیٰ رسی کے ساتھ آپ کو بام عروج تک لے جائے گا۔ پھر آپ کے بعد اسے ایک اور آدمی پکڑے گا۔ پھر اس کے بعد دوسرا آدمی پکڑے گا، پر اس کو جب تیسرا آدمی پکڑے گا تو رسی ٹوٹ جائے گی، پھر جڑ جائے گی تو وہ بھی چڑھ جائے گا۔ اللہ کے رسول! میرے ماں باپ پر قربان ہوں، مجھے اس تعبیر کے متعلق بتائیں صحیح ہے یا غلط ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: کچھ تعبیر تو صحیح ہے اور کچھ غلط ہے۔ حضرت ابوبکر صدیق ؓ نے عرض کی۔ : (اللہ کے رسول!) آپ کو اللہ کی قسم ہے آپ میری غلطی کو ضرور ظاہر کریں۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تم قسم نہ دو۔“
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai woh bayan karte hain ke aik shakhs Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur kaha: Main aaj raat khawab mein dekha hai ke baadal ke tukre se ghee aur shehad tapak raha hai. Main logon ko dekhta hoon ke woh apne hathon mein le rahe hain. Kuch zyada aur kuch kam. Phir achanak aik rassi dekhi jo aasman se zameen ki taraf latak rahi hai. Main ne aap ko dekha aap ne is rassi ko pakra aur oopar charh gaye. Phir aik aur sahib aaye woh bhi rassi ko pakra to rassi toot gayi aur phir jur gayi. Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne arz ki: Allah ke Rasul mere maan baap aap par qurban hon, mujhe ijazaat dein main is ki tabeer karoon. Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Haan, aap is ki tabeer karein." Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne kaha: baadal se murad deen-e-Islam hai. Jo ghee aur shehad tapak raha tha woh Quran Kareem ki halawat aur mithas hai kuch log usay zyada lene wale hain aur kuch logon ki qismat mein thora hissa hai aur aasman se zameen tak latakne wali rassi se murad woh saccha tareeq-e-haqq hai jis par aap gaam-zan hain aur aap se pakre huye hain. Allah Ta'ala rassi ke sath aap ko baam-e-urooj tak le jaye ga. Phir aap ke baad usay aik aur aadmi pakre ga. Phir is ke baad doosra aadmi pakre ga, par is ko jab teesra aadmi pakre ga to rassi toot jaye gi, phir jur jaye gi to woh bhi charh jaye ga. Allah ke Rasul! Mere maan baap par qurban hon, mujhe is tabeer ke mutaliq batayein sahi hai ya ghalat hai? Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: Kuch tabeer to sahi hai aur kuch ghalat hai. Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne arz ki: (Allah ke Rasul!) Aap ko Allah ki qasam hai aap meri ghalati ko zaroor zahir karein. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Tum qasam na do."
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ اللَّيْلَةَ فِي الْمَنَامِ ظُلَّةً تَنْطُفُ السَّمْنَ وَالْعَسَلَ ، فَأَرَى النَّاسَ يَتَكَفَّفُونَ مِنْهَا ، فَالْمُسْتَكْثِرُ وَالْمُسْتَقِلُّ ، وَإِذَا سَبَبٌ وَاصِلٌ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ ، فَأَرَاكَ أَخَذْتَ بِهِ فَعَلَوْتَ ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِهِ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَعَلَا بِهِ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِهِ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَعَلَا بِهِ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِهِ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَانْقَطَعَ ثُمَّ وُصِلَ ، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَاللَّهِ لَتَدَعَنِّي فَأَعْبُرَهَا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اعْبُرْهَا ، قَالَ : أَمَّا الظُّلَّةُ فَالْإِسْلَامُ ، وَأَمَّا الَّذِي يَنْطُفُ مِنَ الْعَسَلِ وَالسَّمْنِ فَالْقُرْآنُ ، حَلَاوَتُهُ تَنْطُفُ ، فَالْمُسْتَكْثِرُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ وَالْمُسْتَقِلُّ ، وَأَمَّا السَّبَبُ الْوَاصِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ فَالْحَقُّ الَّذِي أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِ ، تَأْخُذُ بِهِ فَيُعْلِيكَ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُ بِهِ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَعْدِكَ فَيَعْلُو بِهِ ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُ بِهِ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَيَعْلُو بِهِ ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُهُ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَيَنْقَطِعُ بِهِ ، ثُمَّ يُوَصَّلُ لَهُ فَيَعْلُو بِهِ ، فَأَخْبِرْنِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ ، أَصَبْتُ أَمْ أَخْطَأْتُ ؟ ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَصَبْتَ بَعْضًا وَأَخْطَأْتَ بَعْضًا ، قَالَ : فَوَاللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَتُحَدِّثَنِّي بِالَّذِي أَخْطَأْتُ ، قَالَ : لَا تُقْسِمْ .
