Sahih al-Bukhari 7242
Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) forbade Al-Wisal (continuous fasts). The people said (to him), but you fast Al-Wisal.’ He said, ‘who among you is like me? When I sleep (at night), my Lord makes me eat and drink. But when the people refused to give up Al-Wisal, he fasted Al-Wisal along with them for two days and then they saw the crescent whereupon the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘if the crescent had not appeared, I would have fasted for a longer period,’ as if he intended to punish them therewith.
سیدنا ابو ہریرہ ؓ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ نے وصال کے روزے رکھنے سے منع فرمایا تو کچھ صحابہ کرام ؓ نے کہا: آپ تو خود وصال کے روزے رکھتے ہیں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”تم میں سے مجھ جیسا کون ہے؟ میں تو اس حالت میں رات گزارتا ہوں کہ میرا رب مجھے کھلاتا پلاتا ہے۔“ لیکن جب لوگ نہ مانے تو آپ نے ایک دن کے ساتھ دوسرا روزہ ملا رکھا، پھر انہوں نے چاند دیکھ لیا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”اگر (چاند) مؤخر ہوتا تو میں مزید وصال کے روزے رکھتا۔“ گویا آپ نے انہیں تنبیہ کرنے کے ایسا فرمایا۔
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai unhone kaha: Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne wisal ke rozay rakhne se mana farmaya to kuch Sahaba-e-Kiram (Radi Allahu Anhum) ne kaha: Aap to khud wisal ke rozay rakhte hain. Aap ne farmaya: ''Tum mein se mujh jaisa kaun hai? Main to is halat mein raat guzarta hoon ke mera Rabb mujhe khilata pilata hai.'' Lekin jab log na maane to Aap ne ek din ke sath doosra roza mila rakkha, phir unhone chand dekh liya to Aap ne farmaya: ''Agar (chand) mu'akhkhar hota to main mazeed wisal ke rozay rakhta.'' Goya Aap ne unhein tanbeeh karne ke liye aisa farmaya.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيُّ ، وَقَالَ اللَّيْثُ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ المُسَيَّب أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الوِصَالِ ، قَالُوا : فِإِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ ، قَالَ : أيُّكُمْ مِثْلِي ؟ ، إِنِّي أَبِيتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِ ، فَلَمَّا أَبَوْا أَنْ يَنْتَهُوا ، وَاصَلَ بِهِمْ يَوْمًا ، ثُمَّ يَوْمًا ، ثُمَّ رَأَوْا الْهِلَالَ ، فَقَالَ : لَوْ تَأَخَّرَ لَزِدْتُكُمْ كَالْمُنَكِّل لَهُمْ .
