Sahih al-Bukhari 896
. Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said "We are the last (to come amongst the nations) but (will be) the foremost on the Day of Resurrection. They were given the Holy Scripture before us and we were given the Quran after them. And this was the day (Friday) about which they differed and Allah gave us the guidance (for that). So tomorrow (i.e. Saturday) is the Jews' (day), and the day after tomorrow (i.e. Sunday) is the Christians'." The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) remained silent (for a while) and then said, "It is obligatory for every Muslim that he should take a bath once in seven days, when he should wash his head and body."
حضرت ابوہریرہ ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’ہم بعد میں آئے ہیں لیکن قیامت کے دن سب سے آگے ہوں گے، فرق صرف اس قدر ہے کہ انہیں ہم سے پہلے کتاب دی گئی اور ہمیں بعد میں ملی، چنانچہ جمعہ کا یہ دن جس کے متعلق اہل کتاب نے اختلاف کیا لیکن اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہمیں اس کی رہنمائی کر دی، اس لیے کل کا دن یہود کے لیے اور پرسوں کا دن نصاریٰ کے لیے ہے۔‘‘ پھو تھوڑی دیر خاموش رہے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radiyallahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: ''Hum baad mein aaye hain lekin qayamat ke din sab se aage honge, farq sirf is qadar hai ke unhein hum se pehle kitab di gayi aur humein baad mein mili, chunanche Jummah ka yeh din jis ke mutallaq ahl-e-kitab ne ikhtilaf kiya lekin Allah Ta'ala ne humein is ki rehnumayi kar di, is liye kal ka din Yahood ke liye aur parson ka din Nasara ke liye hai.'' Phir thori der khamosh rahe.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : نَحْنُ الْآخِرُونَ السَّابِقُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا وَأُوتِينَاهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ ، فَهَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ فَهَدَانَا اللَّهُ فَغَدًا لِلْيَهُودِ وَبَعْدَ غَدٍ لِلنَّصَارَى ، فَسَكَتَ .
