باب في النهي عن ضرب النساء

Sunan al-Darimi 2255

Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said: “The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, never beat anyone with his hand, neither a servant nor anyone else, but he did fight in the cause of Allah."


Grade: Sahih

سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ نے کبھی کسی خادم کو مارا نہیں، اور نہ کبھی کسی اور کو اپنے ہاتھ سے مارا، ہاں اللہ کے راستے میں آپ ﷺ جہاد (ضرور) کرتے تھے (یعنی جہاد و میدان جنگ میں دشمن کو لکارا اور مارا ہے)۔

Sada Aisha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ne kaha: Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kabhi kisi khadim ko mara nahi, aur na kabhi kisi aur ko apne hath se mara, haan Allah ke raste mein aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jihad (zaroor) karte the (yani jihad o maidan e jang mein dushman ko lakkara aur mara hai).

حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: "مَا ضَرَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَادِمًا قَطُّ، وَلَا ضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ شَيْئًا قَطُّ إِلَّا أَنْ يُجَاهِدَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ".

Sunan al-Darimi 2256

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Dhibab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Do not beat the female slaves of Allah," (meaning wives). Then Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) came and said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "(Because of this command) women have become emboldened against their husbands" (meaning they are ready to be rude and mischievous). So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) permitted (lightly) striking them. Then many women came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) complaining about their husbands. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Many women have come to the wives of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) complaining about their husbands. These men (who beat their wives) are not good."

سیدنا عبداللہ بن ابی ذباب رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اللہ کی بندیوں کو مت مارو“، (یعنی بیویوں کو) پھر سیدنا عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ حاضر ہوئے، رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خدمت میں عرض کیا: (اس حکم سے) عورتیں اپنے شوہروں پر دلیر ہو گئی ہیں (یعنی زبان درازی اور شرارت پر آمادہ ہیں)، اس پر آپ ﷺ نے انہیں بیویوں کو مارنے کی اجازت دیدی، پھر بہت سی عورتیں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس جمع ہوئیں، اپنے خاوندوں کے گلے شکوے کرنے لگیں تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”بہت سی عورتیں محمد ﷺ کی بیویوں کے پاس اپنے خاوندوں کی شکایت و گلہ کرتی ہیں۔ یہ لوگ (یعنی جو اپنی بیویوں کو مارتے ہیں) اچھے نہیں ہیں۔“

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Zabaab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Allah ki bandiyon ko mat maro (yani biwiyon ko) phir Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) hazir huye, Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein arz kiya: (iss hukum se) auraten apne shoharon per diler ho gayi hain (yani zaban darazi aur shararat per aamada hain), iss par aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen biwiyon ko marne ki ijazat didi, phir bahut si auraten Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas jama hui, apne khaawandon ke gale shikway karne lagi to Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Bahut si auraten Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki biwiyon ke paas apne khaawandon ki shikayat o gila karti hain. Ye log (yani jo apni biwiyon ko maarte hain) acche nahin hain.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَلَفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "لَا تَضْرِبُوا إِمَاءَ اللَّهِ"، فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: قَدْ ذَئِرْنَ عَلَى أَزْوَاجِهِنَّ، فَرَخَّصَ لَهُمْ، فِي ضَرْبِهِنَّ، فَأَطَافَ بِآلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نِسَاءٌ كَثِيرٌ يَشْكُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ، فَقَالَ: فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:"لَقَدْ طَافَ بِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ نِسَاءٌ كَثِيرٌ يَشْكُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ لَيْسَ أُولَئِكَ بِخِيَارِكُمْ".

Sunan al-Darimi 2257

Abdullah bin Zam’a (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) delivered a sermon one day and advised the people concerning women. He (ﷺ) said, “What is the matter with a man that he whips his wife like a slave, and at the end of the day, sleeps with her (or will sleep with her).”


Grade: Sahih

سیدنا عبداللہ بن زمعہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: ایک دن رسول اللہ ﷺ نے خطبہ دیا اور عورتوں کے بارے میں لوگوں کو نصیحت فرمائی، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”کیا بات ہے آدمی اپنی بیوی کو غلام کی طرح کوڑے مارتا ہے، حالانکہ اسی دن کے ختم ہونے پر وہ اس سے ہم بستری بھی کرتا ہے (یا کرے گا)۔“

Sayyidna Abdullah bin Zam'ah RA ne kaha: Ek din Rasul Allah SAW ne khutbah diya aur aurton ke bare mein logon ko nasihat farma'i, Aap SAW ne farmaya: “Kya baat hai aadmi apni biwi ko ghulam ki tarah koore marta hai, halanki isi din ke khatm hone par woh us se ham bistari bhi karta hai (ya karega).”

أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَمَعَةَ، قَالَ: خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّاسَ يَوْمًا فَوَعَظَهُمْ فِي النِّسَاءِ، فَقَالَ: "مَا بَالُ الرَّجُلِ يَجْلِدُ امْرَأَتَهُ جَلْدَ الْعَبْدِ، وَلَعَلَّهُ يُضَاجِعُهَا فِي آخِرِ يَوْمِهِ؟!".
