Sunan al-Darimi 1954
Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was riding a camel – I do not recall if it was a male or female camel – in Mina on the Day of Sacrifice, and a companion was holding its reins, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “What day is this?” Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We remained silent, thinking perhaps you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would give this day another name. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Is this not the Day of Sacrifice?” We said: Yes, indeed. You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “What month is this?” We said: We remained silent, thinking you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would give this month another name. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Is this not Dhul-Hijjah?” We said: Yes, it is Dhul-Hijjah. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “What city is this?” We remained silent, thinking you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would give it another name, but you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Is this not the city of inviolability?” We said: Why not, it certainly is. Thereafter, you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Verily, your blood, your wealth, and your honor are sacred to one another, just as the sanctity of this day in this month and city. Let the present convey this message to the absent, perhaps the present may convey it to someone who remembers it better than him.”
سیدنا ابوبکرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: جب قربانی کے دن منیٰ میں رسول اللہ ﷺ اونٹ پر بیٹھے، یاد نہیں کہ اونٹ کہا یا اونٹنی، اور ایک صحابی نے اس کی نکیل تھامی ہوئی تھی، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”آج کون سا دن ہے؟“ سیدنا ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: ہم خاموش رہے، گمان تھا کہ شاید آپ ﷺ اس دن کا کوئی اور نام رکھیں گے، فرمایا: ”کیا یہ قربانی کا دن نہیں ہے؟“ عرض کیا: جی ہاں؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”یہ کون سا مہینہ ہے؟“ کہا: ہم خاموش رہے، گمان تھا کہ آپ ﷺ اس مہینے کا دوسرا نام بتائیں گے، فرمایا: ”کیا یہ ذوالحجہ نہیں ہے؟“ ہم نے عرض کیا: جی ہاں ذوالحجہ ہے، فرمایا: ”یہ کون سا شہر ہے؟“ ہم چپ رہے اور گمان کیا کہ آپ ﷺ دوسرا نام بتائیں گے، لیکن آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”کیا یہ حرمت کا شہر نہیں ہے؟“ عرض کیا: کیوں نہیں ضرور ہے، اس کے بعد آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”بیشک تمہارا خون، تمہارے مال، تمہاری عزت و آبرو تمہارے اوپر اسی طرح حرام ہیں جیسے اس دن کی حرمت اس مہینے اور شہر میں ہے، یہاں موجود شخص غائب (غیر موجود) تک یہ پیغام پہنچا دے، ممکن ہے کہ یہاں موجود شخص ایسے شخص تک یہ پیغام پہنچائے جو اس سے زیادہ یاد رکھنے والا ہو۔“
Sayyidna Abu Bakrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: Jab qurbani ke din Mina mein Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) unt par baithe, yaad nahin ki unt kaha ya untani, aur ek sahabi ne uski nakel thami hui thi, Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Aaj kaun sa din hai?” Sayyidna Abu Bakr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: Hum khamosh rahe, guman tha ki shayad aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) is din ka koi aur naam rakhenge, farmaya: “Kya yeh qurbani ka din nahin hai?” Arz kiya: Ji haan? Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Yeh kaun sa mahina hai?” Kaha: Hum khamosh rahe, guman tha ki aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) is mahine ka dusra naam bataenge, farmaya: “Kya yeh Zul Hijjah nahin hai?” Hum ne arz kiya: Ji haan Zul Hijjah hai, farmaya: “Yeh kaun sa shehar hai?” Hum chup rahe aur guman kiya ki aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) dusra naam bataenge, lekin aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Kya yeh hurmat ka shehar nahin hai?” Arz kiya: Kyon nahin zaroor hai, iske baad aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Beshak tumhara khoon, tumhare maal, tumhari izzat o abru tumhare upar usi tarah haram hain jaise is din ki hurmat is mahine aur shehar mein hai, yahan maujood shakhs ghaib (ghayr maujood) tak yeh paigham pahuncha de, mumkin hai ki yahan maujood shakhs aise shakhs tak yeh paigham pahunchae jo isse zyada yaad rakhne wala ho.”
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ أَشْهَلُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: لَمَّا كَانَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ، قَعَدَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ لَا أَدْرِي جَمَلٌ أَوْ نَاقَةٌ، وَأَخَذَ إِنْسَانٌ بِخِطَامِهِ أَوْ قَالَ: بِزِمَامِهِ، فَقَالَ:"أَيُّ يَوْمٍ هَذَا؟"قَالَ: فَسَكَتْنَا حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ سَيُسَمِّيهِ سِوَى اسْمِهِ، فَقَالَ:"أَلَيْسَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ؟"قُلْنَا: بَلَى. قَالَ:"فَأَيُّ شَهْرٍ هَذَا؟"قَالَ: فَسَكَتْنَا حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ سَيُسَمِّيهِ سِوَى اسْمِهِ، فَقَالَ:"أَلَيْسَ ذُو الْحِجَّةِ؟". قُلْنَا: بَلَى. قَالَ:"فَأَيُّ بَلَدٍ هَذَا؟". قَالَ: فَسَكَتْنَا حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ سَيُسَمِّيهِ سِوَى اسْمِهِ، فَقَالَ:"أَلَيْسَ الْبَلْدَةَ؟". قُلْنَا: بَلَى. قَالَ:"فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ وَأَعْرَاضَكُمْ بَيْنَكُمْ حَرَامٌ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا، فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا، فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا، أَلَا لِيُبَلِّغْ الشَّاهِدُ الْغَائِبَ، فَإِنَّ الشَّاهِدَ عَسَى أَنْ يُبَلِّغَ مَنْ هُوَ أَوْعَى مِنْهُ".
