Sunan al-Darimi 206
Malik ibn Mughawil reported that Imam Sha'bi, may Allah have mercy on him, said to me: "Take from what these people narrate to you from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and as for what they say from their own opinion, throw it to the wall."

مالک بن مغول سے مروی ہے کہ مجھ سے امام شعبی رحمہ اللہ نے کہا: یہ لوگ تم سے رسول اللہ ﷺ کی جو حدیث بیان کریں اسے لے لو اور جو چیز اپنی رائے سے بیان کریں اسے گھورے پر پھینک دو۔
Malik bin Maghul se marvi hai ki mujh se Imam Shabi rehmatullah alaih ne kaha: Ye log tum se Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki jo hadees bayan karen use le lo aur jo cheez apni rai se bayan karen use ghore par phenk do.
(حديث مقطوع) أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ هُوَ ابْنُ مِغْوَلٍ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي الشَّعْبِيُّ: "مَا حَدَّثُوكَ هَؤُلَاءِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَخُذْ بِهِ، وَمَا قَالُوهُ بِرَأْيِهِمْ، فَأَلْقِهِ فِي الْحُشِّ".
