Sunan al-Darimi 208
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) drew a line in front of us and said, "This is the path of Allah." Then he drew lines to its right and left and said, "These are the other paths, and on every path stands a devil calling towards it." Then he recited this verse: "And verily, this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and follow not [other] paths, for they will separate you away from His path." (Quran 6:153) This is My path which is straight, so follow it and do not follow other paths, for they will lead you away from the path of Allah.

سیدنا عبدالله بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے ایک دن رسول الله ﷺ نے ہمارے سامنے ایک خط کھینچا اور فرمایا: ”یہ اللہ کا راستہ ہے“، پھر اس کے دائیں بائیں اور خط کھینچے اور فرمایا: ”یہ جو راستے ہیں، ہر راستے پر شیطان کھڑا ہے اور اسی طرف بلاتا ہے۔“ پھر آپ نے یہ آیت تلاوت فرمائی: «﴿وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ﴾» [انعام: 153/6] یہ میرا راستہ ہے جو مستقیم (سیدها) ہے، سو تم اسی راہ پر چلو اور دوسری راہوں پر مت چلو، وہ راہیں تمہیں اللہ کی راہ سے جدا کر دیں گی۔
Sayyidna Abdullah bin Masood Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ek din Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne humare samne ek khat khencha aur farmaya: “Yeh Allah ka rasta hai”, phir uske dayen baen aur khat khenche aur farmaya: “Yeh jo raste hain, har raste par shetan khara hai aur isi taraf bulata hai.” Phir aap ne yeh ayat tilawat farmaee: «﴿Wa inna haza sirati mustaqiman fatta biuhu wa la tata biu as subula fat farraq bikum an sabeelihi﴾» [Anaam: 153/6] Yeh mera rasta hai jo mustaqeem (seedha) hai, so tum isi rah par chalo aur dusri rahon par mat chalo, woh rahen tumhen Allah ki rah se juda kar den gi.
أَخْبَرَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ بَهْدَلَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: خَطَّ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا خَطًّا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: "هَذَا سَبِيلُ اللَّهِ"، ثُمَّ خَطَّ خُطُوطًا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ:"هَذِهِ سُبُلٌ عَلَى كُلِّ سَبِيلٍ مِنْهَا شَيْطَانٌ يَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ تَلَا: وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَلا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ سورة الأنعام آية 153".
