Sunan al-Darimi 642
It is narrated on the authority of Aun bin Abdullah that the students of Abdullah bin Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) came to him, and he said to them: “Do you hold gatherings?” They replied: “We never leave them.” He asked: “Do you visit each other?” They answered: “Yes, O Abu Abdur-Rahman! If one of us does not see his companion, he would go to see him even if he is at the furthest end of Kufa.” Abdullah bin Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “As long as you continue to do so, you will be in good.”
عون بن عبداللہ سے مروی ہے سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کے شاگرد ان کے پاس آئے تو انہوں نے ان سے کہا: کیا تم مجلس جماتے ہو؟ جواب دیا: اسے تو ہم چھوڑتے ہی نہیں، فرمایا: کیا تم ایک دوسرے کی زیارت کرتے ہو؟ جواب دیا: جی ہاں اے ابوعبدالرحمٰن! ہم میں سے کوئی شخص اگر اپنے ساتھی کو نہ دیکھے تو کوفے کے آخری کنارے تک اس کو دیکھنے جاتا ہے۔ سیدنا ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا: تم جب تک ایسا کرتے رہو گے خیر سے رہو گے۔
Aun bin Abdullah se marvi hai Sayyidna Abdullah bin Masood razi Allah anhu ke shagird unke pass aaye to unhon ne unse kaha: kya tum majlis jamate ho? jawab diya: ise to hum chhorte hi nahi, farmaya: kya tum ek doosre ki ziyarat karte ho? jawab diya: ji haan aye Abu Abdullah Rehman! hum mein se koi shakhs agar apne saathi ko na dekhe to Kufe ke aakhri kinare tak usko dekhne jata hai. Sayyidna Ibn Masood razi Allah anhu ne farmaya: tum jab tak aisa karte rahoge khair se rahoge.
(حديث موقوف) أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ عَوْنٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ لِأَصْحَابِهِ حِينَ قَدِمُوا عَلَيْهِ: هَلْ تَجَالَسُونَ؟، قَالُوا: لَيْسَ نُتْرَكُ ذَاكَ، قَالَ: فَهَلْ تَزَاوَرُونَ؟، قَالُوا: نَعَمْ، يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ مِنَّا لَيَفْقِدُ أَخَاهُ، فَيَمْشِي فِي طَلَبِهِ إِلَى أَقْصَى الْكُوفَةِ حَتَّى يَلْقَاهُ، قَالَ: "فَإِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَزَالُوا بِخَيْرٍ مَا فَعَلْتُمْ ذَلِكَ".
