Sunan al-Darimi 68
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Abu Salama (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to eat gifts but would not accept charity. A Jewish woman from Khaybar presented a roasted goat as a gift. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and Sayyidina Bishr bin al-Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) ate some of it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) raised his hand and said, "This goat has informed me that it has been poisoned." As a result, Sayyidina Bishr bin al-Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) summoned the woman and asked, "Why did you do this?" The woman replied, "If you are a true prophet, it will not harm you, and if you are a king, we will be relieved of you." In his final illness, he (the Prophet) would say, "I still feel the pain of the meat I ate at Khaybar, and now is the time for my artery to burst."

سیدنا ابوسلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ ہدیہ (کی چیز) کھا لیتے تھے لیکن صدقہ قبول نہیں فرماتے تھے، خیبر کی ایک یہودی عورت نے بھنی ہوئی زہریلی بکری کا ہدیہ پہنچایا، آپ ﷺ اور سیدنا بشر بن البراء رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس میں سے کچھ تناول فرما لیا، پھر نبی ﷺ نے اپنا ہاتھ اٹھا لیا اور فرمایا: ”اس بکری نے مجھے خبر دی ہے کہ اس میں زہر ملایا گیا ہے۔“ چنانچہ اس کے اثر سے سیدنا بشر بن براء رضی اللہ عنہ تو فوت ہو گئے، نبی ﷺ نے اس عورت کو بلایا اور دریافت کیا کہ ”تم نے ایسا کیوں کیا؟“ اس عورت نے جواب دیا: اگر آپ (سچے) نبی ہیں تو یہ آپ کو کوئی تکلیف نہیں دے گی اور اگر بادشاہ ہیں تو ہمیں آپ سے (چھٹکارہ) راحت مل جائے گی۔ آپ اپنے مرض الموت میں فرمایا کرتے تھے: ”خیبر میں میں نے جو گوشت کھایا تھا اس کا اثر اور الم اب محسوس کرتا ہوں اور اب میری شریان پھٹنے کا وقت آگیا ہے۔“
Sayyiduna Abusalma (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) hadiya (ki cheez) kha lete the lekin sadaqah qubool nahin farmate the, Khyber ki ek Yahudi aurat ne bhuni hui zehrili bakri ka hadiya pahunchaya, Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aur Sayyiduna Bishr bin al-Bara (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne is mein se kuchh tanavul farma liya, phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apna hath utha liya aur farmaya: "Is bakri ne mujhe khabar di hai ki is mein zahr milaya gaya hai." Chunancha is ke asar se Sayyiduna Bishr bin al-Bara (رضي الله تعالى عنه) to fout ho gaye, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is aurat ko bulaya aur daryaft kiya ki "Tum ne aisa kyun kiya?" Is aurat ne jawab diya: Agar aap (sachche) Nabi hain to yeh aap ko koi takleef nahin degi aur agar badshah hain to hamen aap se (chhutkara) rahat mil jayegi. Aap apne marz al-maut mein farmaya karte the: "Khyber mein main ne jo gosht khaya tha us ka asar aur alam ab mehsoos karta hun aur ab meri sharyan phatne ka waqt aa gaya hai."
أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو اللَّيْثِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: يَأْكُلُ الْهَدِيَّةَ، وَلَا يَقْبَلُ الصَّدَقَةَ، فَأَهْدَتْ لَهُ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ يَهُودِ خَيْبَرَ شَاةً مَصْلِيَّةً، فَتَنَاوَلَ مِنْهَا، وَتَنَاوَلَ مِنْهَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْبَرَاءِ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: "إِنَّ هَذِهِ تُخْبِرُنِي أَنَّهَا مَسْمُومَةٌ"، فَمَاتَ بِشْرُ بْنُ الْبَرَاءِ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:"مَا حَمَلَكِ عَلَى مَا صَنَعْتِ؟"، فَقَالَتْ: إِنْ كُنْتَ نَبِيًّا لَمْ يَضُرَّكَ شَيْءٌ، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ مَلِكًا، أَرَحْتُ النَّاسَ مِنْكَ، فَقَالَ: فِي مَرَضِهِ:"مَا زِلْتُ مِنْ الْأَكْلَةِ الَّتِي أَكَلْتُ بِخَيْبَرَ، فَهَذَا أَوَانُ انْقِطَاعِ أَبْهَرِي".
