Sunan al-Darimi 89
Sayyiduna Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, said, mentioning the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "I was present when he arrived in Medina. No day was as bright or as good as the day the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to us. And I was also present on the day of his death. I have never seen a day more terrible or darker than the day on which his death occurred."

سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی ﷺ کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ جس وقت آپ مدینہ تشریف لائے میں حاضر تھا، کوئی دن اتنا روشن اس دن سے اچھا نہیں تھا جس دن رسول اللہ ﷺ ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے۔ اور میں آپ کی وفات کے دن بھی حاضر تھا، اس دن سے زیادہ برا اور تاریک دن کوئی نہیں دیکھا جس دن میں آپ کی موت واقع ہوئی۔
Sayyidna Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka zikr karte huye kaha ki jis waqt aap Madina tashreef laye main hazir tha, koi din itna roshan uss din se achha nahin tha jis din Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) humare pass tashreef laaye. Aur main aap ki wafat ke din bhi hazir tha, uss din se zyada bura aur tareek din koi nahin dekha jis din mein aap ki maut waqay hui.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، وَذَكَرَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "شَهِدْتُهُ يَوْمَ دَخَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ فَمَا رَأَيْتُ يَوْمًا قَطُّ، كَانَ أَحْسَنَ وَلَا أَضْوَأَ مِنْ يَوْمٍ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَشَهِدْتُهُ يَوْمَ مَوْتِهِ، فَمَا رَأَيْتُ يَوْمًا كَانَ أَقْبَحَ، وَلَا أَظْلَمَ مِنْ يَوْمٍ مَاتَ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ".
