Chapter on when a woman's menstrual and istihada days overlap
باب إذا اختلطت على المرأة أيام حيضها في أيام استحاضتها
Sunan al-Darimi 939
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about the waiting period ('iddah) of a woman experiencing istihada (non-menstrual bleeding). He narrated from Ibn Shihab (al-Zuhri), on the authority of Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on them both), that her waiting period is one year. Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "This is the saying of Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him)."

امام مالک رحمہ اللہ سے مستحاضہ کی طلاق کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا تو انہوں نے ابن شہاب (زہری) عن سعید بن المسیب رحمہما اللہ سے نقل کیا کہ اس کی عدت ایک سال ہے۔ امام دارمی رحمہ اللہ نے فرمایا: یہ امام مالک رحمہ اللہ کا قول ہے۔
Imam Malik rehmatullah alaihe se mustahaza ki talaq ke bare mein poocha gaya to unhon ne Ibn Shahab (Zuhri) an Saeed bin al-Musayyib rehmatullah alaihema se naqal kya ke uski iddat ek saal hai. Imam Darmi rehmatullah alaihe ne farmaya: Yeh Imam Malik rehmatullah alaihe ka qaul hai.
(حديث مقطوع) أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ مَالِكٌ عَنْ عِدَّةِ الْمُسْتَحَاضَةِ إِذَا طُلِّقَتْ، فَحَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: "عِدَّتُهَا سَنَةٌ"، قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد: هُوَ قَوْلُ مَالِكٍ.
