Sahih Ibn Hibban 1449
Uthman bin Affan was sitting on the pulpit and he delayed the prayer for a while. Urwa bin Zubair said, “Didn’t Gabriel inform Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, about the time of the prayer?” Umar said to him, “Know what you are saying!” Urwa said, “I heard Bashir bin Abi Masud say, ‘I heard Abu Masud al-Ansari say, ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Gabriel came down and he informed me about the time of prayer, so I prayed with him. Then I prayed with him. Then I prayed with him. Then I prayed with him. Then I prayed with him.’” He counted five prayers on his fingers. “And I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, pray the noon prayer when the sun would decline. Sometimes he would delay it when the heat intensified. And I saw him pray the afternoon prayer when the sun was high and white before any yellow entered it, so a man would leave prayer and arrive at Dhu al-Hulayfah before sunset. And he would pray the sunset prayer when the sun set. And he would pray the night prayer when the horizon darkened, and sometimes he would delay it until the people would gather. He led the morning prayer once with the twilight, and he led it another time and made it later than that, then his prayer after that was with the twilight until he died, peace and blessings be upon him, and he never returned to praying it earlier.’”
حضرت عثمان بن عفان منبر پر بیٹھے ہوئے تھے اور انہوں نے نماز میں کچھ دیر کی۔ عروہ بن زبیر نے کہا: "کیا حضرت جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے حضرت محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو نماز کے اوقات کے بارے میں نہیں بتایا تھا؟" حضرت عمر نے ان سے کہا: "تم جانتے ہو تم کیا کہہ رہے ہو!" عروہ نے کہا: "میں نے بشیر بن ابی مسعود سے سنا ہے، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے ابو مسعود انصاری سے سنا ہے، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے: 'حضرت جبرائیل علیہ السلام تشریف لائے اور انہوں نے مجھے نماز کے اوقات کے بارے میں بتایا، تو میں نے ان کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی۔ پھر میں نے ان کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی۔ پھر میں نے ان کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی۔ پھر میں نے ان کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی۔ پھر میں نے ان کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی۔'" اور انہوں نے اپنی انگلیوں پر پانچوں نمازوں کو گنا۔ "اور میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ظہر کی نماز اس وقت پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے جب سورج ڈھلنے لگتا تھا۔ کبھی کبھی جب گرمی تیز ہوتی تو آپ اس میں تاخیر فرماتے تھے۔ اور میں نے آپ کو عصر کی نماز اس وقت پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے جب سورج بلند اور سفید ہوتا تھا اور اس میں ابھی کوئی پیلا پن نہ آیا ہوتا تھا، یہاں تک کہ ایک آدمی نماز پڑھ کر سورج غروب ہونے سے پہلے ہی ذوالحلیفہ پہنچ جاتا تھا۔ اور آپ مغرب کی نماز سورج غروب ہونے پر پڑھتے تھے۔ اور آپ عشاء کی نماز اس وقت پڑھتے تھے جب اندھیرا چھا جاتا تھا، اور کبھی کبھی آپ اس میں اتنی دیر کرتے تھے کہ لوگ جمع ہو جاتے تھے۔ آپ نے ایک مرتبہ صبح کی نماز روشنی پھیلنے کے وقت پڑھی اور ایک مرتبہ اس کے بعد پڑھی، پھر اس کے بعد آپ کی نماز ہمیشہ روشنی پھیلنے تک رہی یہاں تک کہ آپ کا انتقال ہوگیا صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم، اور آپ اسے کبھی بھی جلدی پڑھنے پر واپس نہیں آئے۔"
Hazrat Usman bin Affan mimbar par baithe hue thay aur unhon ne namaz mein kuch dair ki. Urwah bin Zubair ne kaha: "Kia Hazrat Jibraeel Alaihissalam ne Hazrat Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam ko namaz ke auqat ke baare mein nahi bataya tha?" Hazrat Umar ne un se kaha: "Tum jaante ho tum kya keh rahe ho!" Urwah ne kaha: "Maine Bashir bin Abi Masood se suna hai, unhon ne kaha ke maine Abu Masood Ansari se suna hai, unhon ne kaha ke maine Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ko farmate hue suna hai: 'Hazrat Jibraeel Alaihissalam tashreef laaye aur unhon ne mujhe namaz ke auqat ke baare mein bataya, to maine un ke saath namaz parhi. Phir maine un ke saath namaz parhi. Phir maine un ke saath namaz parhi. Phir maine un ke saath namaz parhi. Phir maine un ke saath namaz parhi.'" Aur unhon ne apni ungliyon par panchon namaazon ko gina. "Aur maine Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ko Zuhr ki namaz us waqt parhte hue dekha hai jab suraj dhalne lagta tha. Kabhi kabhi jab garmi tez hoti to aap us mein takheer farmate thay. Aur maine aap ko Asr ki namaz us waqt parhte hue dekha hai jab suraj buland aur safaid hota tha aur us mein abhi koi peela pan na aaya hota tha, yahan tak ke ek aadmi namaz parh kar suraj ghuroob hone se pehle hi Dhul Halifa pohanch jata tha. Aur aap Maghrib ki namaz suraj ghuroob hone par parhte thay. Aur aap Isha ki namaz us waqt parhte thay jab andhera chha jata tha, aur kabhi kabhi aap us mein itni dair karte thay ke log jama ho jate thay. Aap ne ek martaba subah ki namaz roshni phailne ke waqt parhi aur ek martaba us ke baad parhi, phir us ke baad aap ki namaz hamesha roshni phailne tak rahi yahan tak ke aap ka inteqal hogaya sallallahu alaihi wasallam, aur aap use kabhi bhi jaldi parhne par wapas nahi aaye."
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ مِنْ كِتَابِهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ كَانَ قَاعِدًا عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَأَخَّرَ الصَّلَاةَ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ أَمَا إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ قَدْ أَخْبَرَ مُحَمَّدًا ﷺ بِوَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ اعْلَمْ مَا تَقُولُ فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ سَمِعْتُ بَشِيرَ بْنَ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «نَزَلَ جِبْرِيلُ فَأَخْبَرَنِي بِوَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ فَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ» فَحَسَبَ بِأَصَابِعِهِ خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ «وَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ حِينَ تَزُولُ الشَّمْسُ وَرُبَّمَا أَخَّرَهَا حِينَ يَشْتَدُّ الْحَرُّ وَرَأَيْتُهُ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ بَيْضَاءُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَهَا الصُّفْرَةُ فَيَنْصَرِفُ الرَّجُلُ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ فَيَأْتِي ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ وَيُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ حِينَ تَسْقُطُ الشَّمْسُ وَيُصَلِّي الْعِشَاءَ حِينَ يَسْوَدُّ الْأُفُقُ وَرُبَّمَا أَخَّرَهُ حَتَّى يَجْتَمِعَ النَّاسُ وَصَلَّى الصُّبْحَ مَرَّةً بِغَلَسٍ وَصَلَّى مَرَّةً أُخْرَى فَأَسْفَرَ بِهَا ثُمَّ كَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِالْغَلَسِ حَتَّى مَاتَ ﷺ لَمْ يَعُدْ إِلَى أَنْ يُسْفِرَ»
