Sahih Ibn Hibban 3479
Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Fasting is not only from food and drink. Verily, fasting is from vain talk and obscene behavior. So if someone insults you or behaves badly towards you, then say, 'Indeed, I am fasting.'"
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، ’’صرف کھانے پینے سے آدمی روزہ دار نہیں ہوتا بلکہ روزہ تو بے ہودہ باتوں اور فحش کلامی سے بھی ہوتا ہے لہٰذا اگر کوئی تمہیں گالی دے یا برا بھلا کہے تو اس سے کہہ دو کہ میں روزے سے ہوں۔‘‘
Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya, ''Sirf khane peene se aadmi rozedar nahi hota balki roza to behudah baton aur fahish kalami se bhi hota hai lihaza agar koi tumhein gaali de ya bura bhala kahe to us se keh do ki mein rozedar hun.''
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ خَلِيلٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الصِّيَامَ لَيْسَ مِنَ الْأَكْلِ وَالشُّرْبِ فَقَطْ إِنَّمَا الصِّيَامُ مِنَ اللَّغْوِ وَالرَّفَثِ فَإِنْ سَابَّكَ أَحَدٌ أَوْ جَهِلَ عَلَيْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ»
