Sahih Ibn Hibban 3553
Jabir ibn 'Abdullah said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on the expedition to Tabuk, and it was called the expedition of hardship. While we were traveling after the heat of the day had passed, we came across a group of people in the shade of a tree. They said, "O Messenger of Allah, a man has fasted and the fast has exhausted him." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "It is not righteousness to fast while traveling."
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ غزوہ تبوک میں شریک ہوئے اور اسے لشکرِ سختی کہا جاتا تھا۔ ہم دن کے پھیلنے کے بعد سفر کر رہے تھے کہ ایک درخت کے سائے میں کچھ لوگوں کے پاس سے گزرے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اللہ کے رسول! ایک آدمی نے روزہ رکھا ہوا ہے اور روزہ نے اسے کمزور کر دیا ہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ سفر میں روزہ رکھنا نیکی نہیں ہے۔
Jaber bin Abdullah raziallahu anhuma kehte hain ki hum Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke sath Ghazwa Tabuk mein sharik huye aur ise Lashkar-e-Sakhti kaha jata tha. Hum din ke phailne ke baad safar kar rahe the ki ek darakht ke saaye mein kuch logon ke paas se guzre. Unhon ne kaha ki Allah ke Rasool! Ek aadmi ne roza rakha hua hai aur roze ne use kamzor kar diya hai. Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya ki safar mein roza rakhna neki nahi hai.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ غَزِيَّةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي غَزَاةِ تَبُوكَ وَكَانَتْ تُدْعَى غَزْوَةُ الْعُسْرَةِ فَبَيْنَمَا نَسِيرُ بَعْدَمَا أَضْحَى النَّهَارُ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِجَمَاعَةٍ تَحْتَ ظِلِّ شَجَرَةٍ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ رَجُلٌ صَامَ فَجَهَدَهُ الصَّوْمُ فَقَالَ ﷺ «لَيْسَ الْبِرَّ أَنْ تَصُومُوا فِي السَّفَرِ»
