Ubaydullah ibn Abdur-Rahman from his father: The Night of Decree was mentioned in the presence of Abu Bakr, so he said, "I will not seek it except in the last ten (nights), after a narration I heard from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). I heard him say: 'Seek it in the last ten (nights), in seven remaining, or five remaining, or three remaining, or on the last night.'" And he would not exert himself in prayer during the twenty (days of Ramadan) except as he prayed during the rest of the year, but when the (last) ten entered, he would strive (in prayer).
عبیداللہ بن عبدالرحمن اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ حضرت ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس لیلۃ القدر کا ذکر آیا تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ میں اسے صرف آخری عشرے میں تلاش کروں گا، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنی ہوئی ایک حدیث کی وجہ سے۔ میں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ "اسے آخری عشرے میں تلاش کرو، سات باقی رہ جانے والی راتوں میں، یا پانچ باقی رہ جانے والی راتوں میں، یا تین باقی رہ جانے والی راتوں میں، یا آخری رات میں"۔ اور وہ رمضان کے بیس دنوں میں نماز میں اتنی ہی محنت کرتے تھے جتنی کہ سال کے باقی دنوں میں کرتے تھے، لیکن جب آخری دس دن شروع ہوتے تو وہ عبادت میں مشغول ہو جاتے۔
Ubaidullah bin Abdur Rahman apne walid se riwayat karte hain ki Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq Radi Allahu Anhu ke paas Laylatul Qadr ka zikar aaya to aap ne farmaya ki main ise sirf aakhri ashre mein talaash karunga, Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam se suni hui ek hadees ki wajah se. Maine aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko ye farmate hue suna hai ki "Ise aakhri ashre mein talaash karo, saat baqi rah jane wali raaton mein, ya panch baqi rah jane wali raaton mein, ya teen baqi rah jane wali raaton mein, ya aakhri raat mein". Aur wo Ramzan ke bees dinon mein namaz mein itni hi mehnat karte the jitni ki saal ke baqi dinon mein karte the, lekin jab aakhri das din shuru hote to wo ibadat mein mashghul ho jate.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ عُيَيْنَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ ذُكِرَتْ لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ عِنْدَ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ فَقَالَ مَا أَنَا بِطَالِبِهَا إِلَّا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ بَعْدَ حَدِيثٍ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فِي سَبْعٍ يَبْقَيْنَ أَوْ خَمْسٍ يَبْقَيْنَ أَوْ ثَلَاثٍ يَبْقَيْنَ أَوْ فِي آخِرِ لَيْلَةٍ» فَكَانَ لَا يُصَلِّي فِي الْعِشْرِينَ إِلَّا كَصَلَاتِهِ فِي سَائِرِ السَّنَةِ فَإِذَا دَخَلَ الْعَشْرُ اجْتَهَدَ
