Sahih Ibn Hibban 5418
Jabir ibn Abdullah narrated: We went out with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on the expedition of Anmar. I was dismounting beneath a tree when the Messenger of Allah called me, so I said, “O Messenger of Allah, come to the shade!” The Messenger of Allah came down. Jabir said, “I went to our provisions and searched inside them. I found a small, unripe watermelon. I broke it open then I brought it to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The Messenger of Allah said, “Where did you get this?” I said, “We brought it with us from Medina, O Messenger of Allah.” Jabir said, “We had a companion with us whom we had prepared to go and pasture our flock.” He said, “I prepared him then he left at midday to pasture the flock. He was wearing two cloaks that he had tailored.” He said, “The Messenger of Allah looked at him and said, ‘Does he not have any cloaks other than these?’” I said, “O Messenger of Allah, he has two cloaks in the bag. I had him put them on.” He said, “Call him to me and tell him to wear them.” So I called him and he put them on, then he turned away to go. The Messenger of Allah said, “May Allah break his neck! Would this not be better?” The man heard him, so he said, “O Messenger of Allah, in the cause of Allah?” The Messenger of Allah said, “In the cause of Allah.” And so the man was killed in the cause of Allah.
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں: ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ غزوہ عنمر میں شریک ہوئے۔ میں ایک درخت کے نیچے اتر رہا تھا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے بلایا تو میں نے کہا: "اے اللہ کے رسول! ذرا سایہ میں تشریف لائیے۔" رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نیچے تشریف لائے۔ جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: "میں اپنے سامان کی طرف گیا اور اس میں تلاش کیا تو مجھے ایک چھوٹا سا کچا تربوز ملا۔ میں نے اسے توڑا پھر میں اسے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس لے آیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "یہ تمہیں کہاں سے ملا؟" میں نے کہا: "ہم اسے مدینہ سے اپنے ساتھ لائے تھے، یا رسول اللہ!" جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: "ہمارے ساتھ ایک ساتھی تھا جسے ہم نے اپنے ریوڑ کو چرانے کے لیے تیار کیا تھا۔" انہوں نے کہا: "میں نے اسے تیار کیا پھر وہ دوپہر کے وقت ریوڑ کو چرانے کے لیے روانہ ہوا۔ اس نے دو چادریں اوڑھ رکھی تھیں جو اس نے خود ہی سی رکھی تھیں۔" انہوں نے کہا: "رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کی طرف دیکھا اور فرمایا: 'کیا اس کے پاس ان کے علاوہ کوئی چادر نہیں ہے؟" میں نے کہا: "یا رسول اللہ! اس کے پاس تھیلے میں دو چادریں ہیں۔ میں نے اسے کہا تھا کہ وہ انہیں پہن لے۔" آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "اسے میرے پاس بلاؤ اور اسے کہو کہ وہ انہیں پہن لے۔" چنانچہ میں نے اسے بلایا اور اس نے انہیں پہن لیا، پھر وہ جانے کے لیے مڑا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "اللہ اس کی گردن توڑ دے! کیا یہ بہتر نہ ہوتا؟" اس آدمی نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بات سن لی، تو اس نے کہا: "یا رسول اللہ! اللہ کی راہ میں؟" رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "اللہ کی راہ میں۔" اور یوں وہ شخص اللہ کی راہ میں مارا گیا۔
Jaber bin Abdullah Radi Allahu Anhuma bayan karte hain: Hum Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke sath Ghazwa Unmar mein sharik hue. Mein ek darakht ke neeche utar raha tha ke Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne mujhe bulaya to maine kaha: "Aye Allah ke Rasool! Zara saya mein tashreef laiye." Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam neeche tashreef laaye. Jaber Radi Allahu Anhu kahte hain: "Mein apne saman ki taraf gaya aur us mein talaash kiya to mujhe ek chhota sa kacha tarbooz mila. Maine usay tora phir mein usay Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke paas le aaya. Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Yeh tumhein kahan se mila?" Maine kaha: "Hum isay Madinah se apne sath laaye thay, ya Rasool Allah!" Jaber Radi Allahu Anhu kahte hain: "Humare sath ek sathi tha jise hum ne apne rewar ko charane ke liye taiyar kiya tha." Unhon ne kaha: "Maine usay taiyar kiya phir woh dopahar ke waqt rewar ko charane ke liye rawana hua. Us ne do chadariyan odh rakhi thin jo us ne khud hi si rakhi thin." Unhon ne kaha: "Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne us ki taraf dekha aur farmaya: 'Kya is ke paas in ke alawa koi chadar nahin hai?" Maine kaha: "Ya Rasool Allah! Is ke paas thaile mein do chadariyan hain. Maine usay kaha tha ke woh unhein pehan le." Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Use mere paas bulao aur usay kaho ke woh unhein pehan le." Chunancha maine usay bulaya aur us ne unhein pehan liya, phir woh jaane ke liye mura. Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Allah is ki gardan tod de! Kya yeh behtar na hota?" Us aadmi ne Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki baat sun li, to us ne kaha: "Ya Rasool Allah! Allah ki rah mein?" Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Allah ki rah mein." Aur yun woh shaks Allah ki rah mein mara gaya.
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ* عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ أَنْمَارٍ قَالَ فَبَيْنَمَا أَنَا نَازِلٌ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ إِذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلُمَّ إِلَى الظِّلِّ قَالَ فَنَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ جَابِرٌ فَقُمْتُ إِلَى غِرَارَةٍ لَنَا فَالْتَمَسْتُ فِيهَا فَوَجَدْتُ فِيهَا جِرْوَ قِثَّاءٍ فَكَسَرْتُهُ ثُمَّ قَرَّبْتُهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مِنْ أَيْنَ لَكُمْ هَذَا؟ » فَقُلْتُ خَرَجْنَا بِهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ جَابِرٌ وَعِنْدَنَا صَاحِبٌ لَنَا نُجَهِّزُهُ لِيَذْهَبَ يَرْعَى ظَهَرْنَا قَالَ فَجَهَّزْتُهُ ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَذْهَبُ فِي الظَّهْرِ وَعَلَيْهِ بُرْدَانِ لَهُ قَدْ خَلُقَا قَالَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «أَمَا لَهُ ثَوْبَانِ غَيْرُ هَذَيْنِ؟ » قَالَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَهُ ثَوْبَانِ فِي الْعَيْبَةِ كَسَوْتُهُ إِيَّاهُمَا قَالَ «فَادْعُهُ فَمُرْهُ فَلْيَلْبَسْهُمَا» قَالَ فَدَعَوْتُهُ فَلَبِسَهُمَا ثُمَّ وَلَّى يَذْهَبُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا لَهُ ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ عُنُقَهُ أَلَيْسَ هَذَا خَيْرًا؟ » فَسَمِعَهُ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ» فَقُتِلَ الرَّجُلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ
