Zaid bin Aslam narrated to me from 'Uyayd bin 'Abdullah from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went out on Eid-ul-Adha or Eid-ul-Fitr to the Musalla. He prayed and then addressed the people, encouraging them to give charity. He said, "O people, give in charity." Then he went towards the women and said, "O assembly of women, give in charity, for I see that you form the majority of the people of Hell." They asked, "Why is that so, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have never seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion yet able to influence a resolute man than you, O women." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?" They said, "Yes." He said, "That is the deficiency in her intelligence. Is it not that when one of you menstruates, she neither prays nor fasts?" They said, "Yes." He said, "That is the deficiency in her religion." Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) left. When he reached his house, Zainab, the wife of 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud, came seeking permission to enter. It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, this is Zainab seeking permission to enter." He asked, "Which Zainab?" They said, "The wife of 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud." He said, "Yes, allow her to enter." So she was granted permission. She said, "O Prophet of Allah, today you encouraged us to give in charity. I had some jewelry and wanted to give it in charity, but Ibn Mas'ud claimed that he and his children were more deserving of my charity than anyone else." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Ibn Mas'ud is right...
زید بن اسلم نے مجھ سے عیید بن عبداللہ سے روایت کی، انھوں نے ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی، کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عید الاضحی یا عید الفطر کے دن نماز کے لیے عید گاہ تشریف لے گئے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز پڑھی، پھر لوگوں کو خطبہ دیا، اور انہیں صدقہ کرنے کی ترغیب دلائی، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ’’لوگو! صدقہ کرو‘‘۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عورتوں کی طرف متوجہ ہوئے اور فرمایا: ’’اے عورتوں کی جماعت! تم صدقہ کرو، کیونکہ میں دیکھ رہا ہوں کہ تم جہنم والوں کی اکثریت ہو‘‘۔ عورتوں نے عرض کیا: ’’ایسا کیوں ہے یا رسول اللہ؟‘‘۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ’’تم بہت زیادہ لعنت کرتی ہو اور اپنے شوہروں کی ناشکری کرتی ہو، میں نے تم سے زیادہ عقل و دین میں ناقص اور صاحب عزم مرد کو مغلوب کرنے والی کسی کو نہیں دیکھا‘‘۔ عورتوں نے عرض کیا: ’’یا رسول اللہ! ہماری عقل اور دین میں کیا کمی ہے؟‘‘۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ’’کیا عورت کی گواہی مرد کی گواہی کے نصف کے برابر نہیں ہے؟‘‘۔ عورتوں نے عرض کیا: ’’ہاں‘‘۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ’’یہی اس کی عقل کی کمی ہے۔ کیا ایسا نہیں ہے کہ جب تم میں سے کسی عورت کو حیض آتا ہے تو وہ نہ نماز پڑھتی ہے اور نہ ہی روزہ رکھتی ہے؟‘‘۔ عورتوں نے عرض کیا: ’’ہاں‘‘۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ’’یہی اس کے دین کی کمی ہے‘‘۔ پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم وہاں سے چلے گئے، جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے گھر پہنچے تو عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کی بیوی زینب رضی اللہ عنہا اجازت لینے کے لیے آئیں، کہا گیا: ’’یا رسول اللہ! یہ زینب رضی اللہ عنہا اجازت مانگ رہی ہیں‘‘۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا: ’’کون سی زینب؟‘‘۔ کہا گیا: ’’عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کی بیوی‘‘۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ’’ہاں، انہیں اندر آنے دو‘‘۔ چنانچہ انہیں اندر آنے کی اجازت دے دی گئی، انہوں نے عرض کیا: ’’یا نبی اللہ! آج آپ نے ہمیں صدقہ کرنے کی ترغیب دلائی ہے، میرے پاس کچھ زیورات تھے، میں انہیں صدقہ کرنا چاہتی تھی، لیکن ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ وہ اور ان کے بچے میرے صدقہ کے زیادہ حقدار ہیں‘‘۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ’’ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ ٹھیک کہتے ہیں…
Zaid bin Aslam ne mujh se Id bin Abdullah se riwayat ki, unhon ne Abu Said Khudri Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat ki, kaha: Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Id-ul-Adha ya Id-ul-Fitr ke din namaz ke liye Idgah tashreef le gaye, Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne namaz parhi, phir logon ko khutba diya, aur unhen sadqa karne ki targhib dilai, Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ''Logon! Sadqa karo''۔ Phir Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam auraton ki taraf mutawajjah huye aur farmaya: ''Aye auraton ki jamaat! Tum sadqa karo, kyunki main dekh raha hun ki tum jahannam walon ki aksariyat ho''۔ Auraton ne arz kiya: ''Aisa kyun hai ya Rasul Allah?''. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ''Tum bahut zyada laanat karti ho aur apne shoharon ki nashukri karti ho, maine tum se zyada aql o deen mein naqis aur sahib azm mard ko maglub karne wali kisi ko nahin dekha''۔ Auraton ne arz kiya: ''Ya Rasul Allah! Hamari aql aur deen mein kya kami hai?''. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ''Kya aurat ki gawahi mard ki gawahi ke nisf ke barabar nahin hai?''. Auraton ne arz kiya: ''Haan''۔ Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ''Yahi is ki aql ki kami hai. Kya aisa nahin hai ki jab tum mein se kisi aurat ko haiz aata hai to woh na namaz parhti hai aur na hi roza rakhti hai?''. Auraton ne arz kiya: ''Haan''۔ Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ''Yahi is ke deen ki kami hai''۔ Phir Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam wahan se chale gaye, jab Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam apne ghar pahunche to Abdullah bin Masood Radi Allahu Anhu ki biwi Zainab Radi Allahu Anha ijazat lene ke liye aayin, kaha gaya: ''Ya Rasul Allah! Yeh Zainab Radi Allahu Anha ijazat mang rahi hain''۔ Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne pucha: ''Kaun si Zainab?''. Kaha gaya: ''Abdullah bin Masood Radi Allahu Anhu ki biwi''۔ Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ''Haan, unhen andar aane do''۔ Chunancha unhen andar aane ki ijazat de di gayi, unhon ne arz kiya: ''Ya Nabi Allah! Aaj aap ne hamen sadqa karne ki targhib dilai hai, mere paas kuchh zewarat the, main unhen sadqa karna chahti thi, lekin Ibn Masood Radi Allahu Anhu kahte hain ki woh aur unke bacche mere sadqa ke zyada haqdar hain''۔ Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ''Ibn Masood Radi Allahu Anhu theek kahte hain...
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الذُّهْلِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ أَخْبَرَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي أَضْحًى أَوْ فِطْرٍ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَقَامَ فَوَعَظَ النَّاسَ وَأَمَرَهُمْ بِالصَّدَقَةِ قَالَ «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ تَصَدَّقُوا» ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَمَرَّ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ فَقَالَ «يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ تَصَدَّقْنَ فَإِنِّي أَرَاكُنَّ أَكْثَرَ أَهْلِ النَّارِ» فَقُلْنَ وَلِمَ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «تُكْثِرْنَ اللَّعْنَ وَتَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيرَ مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنَ نَاقِصَاتِ عَقْلٍ وَدِينٍ أَذْهَبَ لِلُبِّ الرَّجُلِ الْحَازِمِ مِنْ إِحْدَاكُنَّ يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ» فَقُلْنَ لَهُ مَا نُقْصَانُ دِينِنَا وَعَقْلِنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «أَلَيْسَ شَهَادَةُ الْمَرْأَةِ مِثْلَ نِصْفِ شَهَادَةِ الرَّجُلِ»؟ قُلْنَ بَلَى قَالَ «فَذَاكَ نُقْصَانُ عَقْلِهَا أَوَ لَيْسَتْ إِذَا حَاضَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ لَمْ تُصَلِّ وَلَمْ تَصُمْ»؟ قُلْنَ بَلَى قَالَ «فَذَاكَ نُقْصَانُ دِينِهَا» ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا صَارَ إِلَى مَنْزِلِهِ جَاءَتْ زَيْنَبُ امْرَأَةُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ تَسْتَأْذِنُ عَلَيْهِ فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذِهِ زَيْنَبُ تَسْتَأْذِنُ عَلَيْكَ فَقَالَ «أَيُّ الزَّيَانِبِ»؟ قِيلَ امْرَأَةُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ «نَعَمْ ائْذَنُوا لَهَا» فَأُذِنَ لَهَا فَقَالَتْ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ أَمَرْتَنَا الْيَوْمَ بِالصَّدَقَةِ وَكَانَ عِنْدِي حُلِيٌّ فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ فَزَعَمَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّهُ وَوَلَدَهُ أَحَقُّ مَنْ تَصَدَّقَتْ بِهِ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «صَدَقَ
