Sahih Ibn Hibban 873
Suhayb reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There was a king among those before you who had a magician. When the magician grew old, he said to the king, ‘I have become old, so send me a young boy I can teach magic.’ The king sent him a young boy to teach. On his way, the boy met a monk sitting on the side of the road, so he sat and listened to his words and admired him. So whenever the boy came to the magician, the boy would strike him. When he returned from the magician, he would sit with the monk and listen to his words, but when he came to his family they would beat him. The boy complained about this to the monk, who said, ‘When you fear the magician, say: My family kept me busy. And when you fear your family, say: The magician kept me busy.’ While he was like this, he came upon a large beast that was blocking the way of the people. The boy said, ‘Today I will know whether the monk is better or the magician!’ So the boy took a stone and said, ‘O Allah, if the affair of the monk is more beloved to you than the affair of the magician, then kill this beast so the people can pass.’ Then the boy threw the stone, killed it, and the people passed by. The boy came to the monk and told him what happened. The monk said, ‘O my son, today you are better than me! Verily, you are about to be tested, and if you are tested, then do not reveal me.’ The boy began to heal the blind and the leper, and he treated other ailments. A close companion of the king who had become blind heard about him. The companion came to the boy with many gifts and said, ‘All of this is for you if you heal me.’ The boy said, ‘Verily, I do not heal anyone. Allah is the One who heals. So if you believe in Allah, I will supplicate to Allah to heal you.’ So the man believed in Allah, and the boy supplicated for him and Allah healed him. Then the companion came to the king walking and sitting with him as he used to. The king said, ‘Who has restored your sight?’ The man said, ‘My Lord.’ The king said, ‘Do you have another lord other than me?’ The companion said, ‘My Lord and your Lord is Allah.’ The king tortured him until he revealed the boy, so the boy was brought to the king. The king said, ‘O boy, your magic has reached the point that you can heal the blind and the leper, and you can do such and such?’ The boy said, ‘I do not heal anyone. Allah is the One who heals.’ So the king took him and tortured him until he revealed the monk. Then the monk was brought to the king and he was commanded to renounce his religion, but he refused. The king called for a saw and it was placed at the top of the monk’s head, and he was cut in two until he fell dead. Then the companion of the king was brought and commanded to renounce his religion, but he refused. So the saw was placed at the top of his head and he was cut in two until he fell dead. Then the boy was brought and commanded to renounce his religion, but he refused. So the king handed him over to a group of his companions and said, ‘Take him to such and such mountain, climb it with him, and when you reach its peak, if he renounces his religion then let him be, otherwise throw him off.’ They took him and climbed the mountain with him. The boy said, ‘O Allah, suffice me against them however You will!’ So Allah shook the mountain and they tumbled down it. The boy came walking to the king, and the king said, ‘What happened to your companions?’ He said, ‘Allah has sufficed me against them.’ So the king handed him over to another group of his companions and said, ‘Take him and carry him in a ship. Set out with him into the middle of the sea, then if he renounces his religion, then let him be, otherwise drown him.’ So they took him, and the boy said, ‘O Allah, suffice me against them however You will!’ So Allah caused the ship to overturn with them. The boy came walking to the king, and the king said to him, ‘What happened to your companions?’ He said, ‘Allah has sufficed me against them.’ The boy said to the king, ‘Verily, you will not be able to kill me until you do what I command you.’ The king asked, ‘What is that?’ The boy said, ‘Gather the people together in a single place and tie me to the trunk of a tree. Then take an arrow from your quiver and place it in your bow, then say: In the name of Allah, the Lord of the boy. Then shoot me, for if you do that, you will kill me.’ So the king gathered the people together in a single place, tied him to the trunk of a tree, took an arrow from his quiver, placed it in his bow, then said: ‘In the name of Allah, the Lord of the boy.’ Then he shot him and the arrow struck the king in his temple. He placed his hand on his temple and died. The people said, ‘We believe in the Lord of the boy! We believe in the Lord of the boy! We believe in the Lord of the boy!’ Then the king was approached and told, ‘Do you see what you feared? By Allah, what you feared has come to you! Verily, the people have believed!’ So the king commanded that trenches should be dug at the entrances of the roads, and they were dug. Then fires were kindled in them. The king said, ‘Whoever does not renounce his religion, throw him in it!’ They did so until a woman came with her small child. She hesitated to fall into the fire, but the boy said, ‘O mother, be patient, for verily you are upon the truth.”’
حضرت صہیب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تم سے پہلے ایک بادشاہ تھا جس کے پاس ایک جادوگر تھا۔ جب جادوگر بوڑھا ہو گیا تو اس نے بادشاہ سے کہا: ’میں بوڑھا ہو گیا ہوں، اس لیے میرے پاس ایک جوان لڑکا بھیجو جسے میں جادو سکھاؤں‘۔ بادشاہ نے اس کے پاس ایک جوان لڑکا تعلیم کے لیے بھیج دیا۔ راستے میں لڑکا ایک راہب کو راستے کے کنارے بیٹھا ہوا ملا، تو وہ بیٹھ گیا اور اس کی باتیں سننے لگا اور اس کی تعریف کرنے لگا۔ لہٰذا جب بھی لڑکا جادوگر کے پاس آتا تو لڑکا اسے مارنے لگتا۔ جب وہ جادوگر کے پاس سے واپس آتا تو وہ راہب کے پاس بیٹھ جاتا اور اس کی باتیں سنتا لیکن جب وہ اپنے گھر والوں کے پاس آتا تو وہ اسے مارتے۔ لڑکے نے اس کی شکایت راہب سے کی تو اس نے کہا: ’جب تم جادوگر سے ڈرو تو کہو: میرے گھر والوں نے مجھے مصروف رکھا۔ اور جب تم اپنے گھر والوں سے ڈرو تو کہو: جادوگر نے مجھے مصروف رکھا‘۔ جب وہ اس حالت میں تھا تو اس کے سامنے ایک بہت بڑا جانور آ گیا جو لوگوں کے راستے میں رکاوٹ بنا ہوا تھا۔ لڑکے نے کہا: ’آج میں جان جاؤں گا کہ راہب بہتر ہے یا جادوگر!‘ چنانچہ لڑکے نے ایک پتھر اٹھایا اور کہا: ’اے اللہ! اگر راہب کا معاملہ تیرے نزدیک جادوگر کے معاملے سے زیادہ محبوب ہے تو اس جانور کو مار دے تاکہ لوگ گزر سکیں‘۔ پھر لڑکے نے پتھر پھینکا، اسے مار ڈالا اور لوگ وہاں سے گزر گئے۔ لڑکا راہب کے پاس آیا اور اسے بتایا کہ کیا ہوا ہے۔ راہب نے کہا: ’اے میرے بیٹے! آج تم مجھ سے بہتر ہو! بے شک تمہیں آزمائش کا سامنا کرنا پڑے گا اور اگر تمہیں آزمائش کا سامنا کرنا پڑے تو مجھے ظاہر نہ کرنا‘۔ وہ لڑکا اندھوں اور کوڑھیوں کو شفا دینے لگا اور دوسرے امراض کا علاج کرنے لگا۔ بادشاہ کا ایک قریبی ساتھی جو اندھا ہو چکا تھا، اس کے بارے میں سنا۔ وہ ساتھی بہت سے تحائف لے کر لڑکے کے پاس آیا اور کہا: ’یہ سب تمہارے لیے ہے اگر تم نے مجھے ٹھیک کر دیا‘۔ لڑکے نے کہا: ’میں کسی کو شفا نہیں دیتا۔ اللہ ہی شفا دینے والا ہے۔ لہٰذا اگر تم اللہ پر ایمان رکھتے ہو تو میں اللہ سے دعا کروں گا کہ وہ تمہیں شفا دے‘۔ چنانچہ اس شخص نے اللہ پر ایمان لے آیا اور لڑکے نے اس کے لیے دعا کی اور اللہ نے اسے شفا دے دی۔ پھر وہ ساتھی بادشاہ کے پاس چلتا ہوا آیا اور اس کے ساتھ بیٹھ گیا جیسا کہ وہ پہلے بیٹھتا تھا۔ بادشاہ نے کہا: ’تمہاری بینائی کس نے لوٹائی ہے؟‘ اس شخص نے کہا: ’میرے رب نے‘۔ بادشاہ نے کہا: ’کیا تمہارا میرے سوا کوئی اور رب ہے؟‘ اس ساتھی نے کہا: ’میرا رب اور تمہارا رب اللہ ہے‘۔ بادشاہ نے اسے اس وقت تک عذاب دیا جب تک اس نے لڑکے کا بتا نہ دیا، چنانچہ لڑکے کو بادشاہ کے پاس لایا گیا۔ بادشاہ نے کہا: ’اے لڑکے! تمہارا جادو اس مقام پر پہنچ گیا ہے کہ تم اندھوں اور کوڑھیوں کو شفا دے سکتے ہو اور تم ایسا اور ایسا کر سکتے ہو؟‘ لڑکے نے کہا: ’میں کسی کو شفا نہیں دیتا۔ اللہ ہی شفا دینے والا ہے۔‘ چنانچہ بادشاہ نے اسے پکڑ لیا اور اسے اس وقت تک عذاب دیا جب تک اس نے راہب کا بتا نہ دیا۔ پھر راہب کو بادشاہ کے پاس لایا گیا اور اسے اپنا مذہب چھوڑنے کا حکم دیا گیا لیکن اس نے انکار کر دیا۔ بادشاہ نے آرے منگوائے اور اسے راہب کے سر پر رکھا گیا اور اسے اس وقت تک دو ٹکڑے کیا گیا جب تک وہ مر نہیں گیا۔ پھر بادشاہ کے ساتھی کو لایا گیا اور اسے اپنا مذہب چھوڑنے کا حکم دیا گیا لیکن اس نے انکار کر دیا۔ چنانچہ آرے کو اس کے سر پر رکھا گیا اور اسے اس وقت تک دو ٹکڑے کیا گیا جب تک وہ مر نہیں گیا۔ پھر لڑکے کو لایا گیا اور اسے اپنا مذہب چھوڑنے کا حکم دیا گیا لیکن اس نے انکار کر دیا۔ چنانچہ بادشاہ نے اسے اپنے ساتھیوں کے ایک گروہ کے حوالے کر دیا اور کہا: ’اسے فلاں پہاڑ پر لے جاؤ، اس کے ساتھ اس پر چڑھ جاؤ اور جب تم اس کی چوٹی پر پہنچو تو اگر وہ اپنا مذہب چھوڑ دے تو اسے جانے دو ورنہ اسے نیچے گرا دو‘۔ وہ اسے لے گئے اور اس کے ساتھ پہاڑ پر چڑھ گئے۔ لڑکے نے کہا: ’اے اللہ! ان کے مقابلے میں میری مدد فرما جیسا کہ تو چاہتا ہے!‘ چنانچہ اللہ نے پہاڑ کو ہلا دیا اور وہ اس سے نیچے گر گئے۔ لڑکا چلتا ہوا بادشاہ کے پاس آیا اور بادشاہ نے کہا: ’تمہارے ساتھیوں کا کیا ہوا؟‘ اس نے کہا: ’اللہ نے ان کے مقابلے میں میری مدد فرمائی ہے‘۔ چنانچہ بادشاہ نے اسے اپنے ساتھیوں کے ایک اور گروہ کے حوالے کر دیا اور کہا: ’اسے لے جاؤ اور اسے ایک کشتی میں سوار کرو۔ اس کے ساتھ سمندر کے بیچ میں چلے جاؤ، پھر اگر وہ اپنا مذہب چھوڑ دے تو اسے جانے دو ورنہ اسے ڈبو دو‘۔ چنانچہ وہ اسے لے گئے اور لڑکے نے کہا: ’اے اللہ! ان کے مقابلے میں میری مدد فرما جیسا کہ تو چاہتا ہے!‘ چنانچہ اللہ نے ان کے ساتھ کشتی کو الٹ دیا۔ لڑکا چلتا ہوا بادشاہ کے پاس آیا اور بادشاہ نے اس سے کہا: ’تمہارے ساتھیوں کا کیا ہوا؟‘ اس نے کہا: ’اللہ نے ان کے مقابلے میں میری مدد فرمائی ہے‘۔ لڑکے نے بادشاہ سے کہا: ’بے شک تم مجھے اس وقت تک نہیں مار سکو گے جب تک تم وہ نہیں کرو گے جو میں تمہیں بتاتا ہوں‘۔ بادشاہ نے پوچھا: ’وہ کیا ہے؟‘ لڑکے نے کہا: ’لوگوں کو ایک ہی جگہ جمع کرو اور مجھے ایک درخت کے تنے سے باندھ دو۔ پھر اپنے ترکش سے ایک تیر نکالو اور اسے اپنے کمان میں رکھو، پھر کہو: اللہ کے نام سے، اس لڑکے کے رب کے نام سے۔ پھر مجھے گولی مارو کیونکہ اگر تم نے ایسا کیا تو تم مجھے مار ڈالو گے‘۔ چنانچہ بادشاہ نے لوگوں کو ایک ہی جگہ جمع کیا، اسے ایک درخت کے تنے سے باندھ دیا، اپنے ترکش سے ایک تیر نکالا، اسے اپنے کمان میں رکھا، پھر کہا: ’اللہ کے نام سے، اس لڑکے کے رب کے نام سے‘۔ پھر اس نے اسے گولی ماری اور تیر بادشاہ کی کنپٹی پر لگا۔ اس نے اپنا ہاتھ اپنی کنپٹی پر رکھا اور مر گیا۔ لوگوں نے کہا: ’ہم اس لڑکے کے رب پر ایمان لائے! ہم اس لڑکے کے رب پر ایمان لائے! ہم اس لڑکے کے رب پر ایمان لائے!‘ پھر بادشاہ کے پاس آیا گیا اور اسے بتایا گیا: ’کیا تم دیکھتے ہو جس سے تم ڈرتے تھے؟ اللہ کی قسم! جس چیز سے تم ڈرتے تھے وہ تم پر آ گئی ہے! بے شک لوگ ایمان لے آئے ہیں!‘ چنانچہ بادشاہ نے حکم دیا کہ راستوں کے دروازوں پر خندقیں کھودی جائیں اور وہ کھودی گئیں۔ پھر ان میں آگ جلائی گئی۔ بادشاہ نے کہا: ’جو کوئی اپنا مذہب نہ چھوڑے اسے اس میں پھینک دو!‘ انہوں نے ایسا ہی کیا یہاں تک کہ ایک عورت اپنے چھوٹے بچے کو لے کر آئی۔ وہ آگ میں گرنے سے ہچکچاہٹ محسوس کر رہی تھی لیکن لڑکے نے کہا: ’اے ماں! صبر کرو کیونکہ بے شک تم حق پر ہو“۔
Hazrat Suhaib Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Tum se pehle ek badshah tha jis ke pass ek jadugar tha. Jab jadugar boodha ho gaya to us ne badshah se kaha: 'Main boodha ho gaya hun, is liye mere pass ek jawan ladka bhejo jise main jadu sikhaun'. Badshah ne us ke pass ek jawan ladka taleem ke liye bhej diya. Raaste mein ladka ek rahib ko raste ke kinare baitha hua mila, to woh baith gaya aur us ki baaten sunne laga aur us ki tareef karne laga. Lihaza jab bhi ladka jadugar ke pass aata to ladka use marne lagta. Jab woh jadugar ke pass se wapas aata to woh rahib ke pass baith jata aur us ki baaten sunta lekin jab woh apne ghar walon ke pass aata to woh use marte. Ladke ne us ki shikayat rahib se ki to us ne kaha: 'Jab tum jadugar se daro to kaho: Mere ghar walon ne mujhe masroof rakha. Aur jab tum apne ghar walon se daro to kaho: Jadugar ne mujhe masroof rakha'. Jab woh is halat mein tha to us ke samne ek bahut bada janwar aa gaya jo logon ke raste mein rukawat bana hua tha. Ladke ne kaha: 'Aaj main jaan jaunga ki rahib behtar hai ya jadugar!'. Chunache ladke ne ek pathar uthaya aur kaha: 'Aye Allah! Agar rahib ka mamla Tere nazdeek jadugar ke mamle se zyada mahboob hai to is janwar ko maar de taaki log guzar sakein'. Phir ladke ne pathar phenka, use maar dala aur log wahan se guzar gaye. Ladka rahib ke pass aaya aur use bataya ki kya hua hai. Rahib ne kaha: 'Aye mere bete! Aaj tum mujh se behtar ho! Be shak tumhein azmaish ka samna karna padega aur agar tumhein azmaish ka samna karna pade to mujhe zahir na karna'. Woh ladka andhon aur kodhion ko shifa dene laga aur dusre amraz ka ilaaj karne laga. Badshah ka ek qareebi sathi jo andha ho chuka tha, us ke baare mein suna. Woh sathi bahut se tohfe le kar ladke ke pass aaya aur kaha: 'Yeh sab tumhare liye hai agar tum ne mujhe theek kar diya'. Ladke ne kaha: 'Main kisi ko shifa nahin deta. Allah hi shifa dene wala hai. Lihaza agar tum Allah par imaan rakhte ho to main Allah se dua karunga ki woh tumhein shifa de'. Chunache us shakhs ne Allah par imaan le aaya aur ladke ne us ke liye dua ki aur Allah ne use shifa de di. Phir woh sathi badshah ke pass chalta hua aaya aur us ke sath baith gaya jaisa ki woh pehle baithta tha. Badshah ne kaha: 'Tumhari beenai kis ne lauutai hai?'. Us shakhs ne kaha: 'Mere Rab ne'. Badshah ne kaha: 'Kya tumhara mere siwa koi aur Rab hai?'. Us sathi ne kaha: 'Mera Rab aur tumhara Rab Allah hai'. Badshah ne use us waqt tak azab diya jab tak us ne ladke ka bata na diya, chunache ladke ko badshah ke pass laya gaya. Badshah ne kaha: 'Aye ladke! Tumhara jadu is maqam par pahunch gaya hai ki tum andhon aur kodhion ko shifa de sakte ho aur tum aisa aur aisa kar sakte ho?'. Ladke ne kaha: 'Main kisi ko shifa nahin deta. Allah hi shifa dene wala hai'. Chunache badshah ne use pakad liya aur use us waqt tak azab diya jab tak us ne rahib ka bata na diya. Phir rahib ko badshah ke pass laya gaya aur use apna mazhab chhodne ka hukm diya gaya lekin us ne inkar kar diya. Badshah ne aare mangwaye aur use rahib ke sar par rakha gaya aur use us waqt tak do tukde kiya gaya jab tak woh mar nahin gaya. Phir badshah ke sathi ko laya gaya aur use apna mazhab chhodne ka hukm diya gaya lekin us ne inkar kar diya. Chunache aare ko us ke sar par rakha gaya aur use us waqt tak do tukde kiya gaya jab tak woh mar nahin gaya. Phir ladke ko laya gaya aur use apna mazhab chhodne ka hukm diya gaya lekin us ne inkar kar diya. Chunache badshah ne use apne sathion ke ek giroh ke hawale kar diya aur kaha: 'Ise falan pahari par le jao, us ke sath is par chadh jao aur jab tum is ki choti par pahuncho to agar woh apna mazhab chhod de to use jaane do warna use neeche gira do'. Woh use le gaye aur us ke sath pahari par chadh gaye. Ladke ne kaha: 'Aye Allah! In ke muqable mein meri madad farma jaisa ki Tu chahta hai!'. Chunache Allah ne pahari ko hila diya aur woh is se neeche gir gaye. Ladka chalta hua badshah ke pass aaya aur badshah ne kaha: 'Tumhare sathion ka kya hua?'. Us ne kaha: 'Allah ne in ke muqable mein meri madad farmai hai'. Chunache badshah ne use apne sathion ke ek aur giroh ke hawale kar diya aur kaha: 'Ise le jao aur ise ek kashti mein sawar karo. Is ke sath samundar ke beech mein chale jao, phir agar woh apna mazhab chhod de to use jaane do warna use dubo do'. Chunache woh use le gaye aur ladke ne kaha: 'Aye Allah! In ke muqable mein meri madad farma jaisa ki Tu chahta hai!'. Chunache Allah ne un ke sath kashti ko ulat diya. Ladka chalta hua badshah ke pass aaya aur badshah ne us se kaha: 'Tumhare sathion ka kya hua?'. Us ne kaha: 'Allah ne in ke muqable mein meri madad farmai hai'. Ladke ne badshah se kaha: 'Be shak tum mujhe is waqt tak nahin maar sako ge jab tak tum woh nahin karo ge jo main tumhein batata hun'. Badshah ne pucha: 'Woh kya hai?'. Ladke ne kaha: 'Logon ko ek hi jagah jama karo aur mujhe ek darakht ke tane se bandh do. Phir apne tarkash se ek teer nikalo aur use apne kaman mein rakho, phir kaho: Allah ke naam se, is ladke ke Rab ke naam se. Phir mujhe goli maro kyunki agar tum ne aisa kiya to tum mujhe maar dalo ge'. Chunache badshah ne logon ko ek hi jagah jama kiya, use ek darakht ke tane se bandh diya, apne tarkash se ek teer nikala, use apne kaman mein rakha, phir kaha: 'Allah ke naam se, is ladke ke Rab ke naam se'. Phir us ne use goli maari aur teer badshah ki kanpati par laga. Us ne apna hath apni kanpati par rakha aur mar gaya. Logon ne kaha: 'Hum is ladke ke Rab par imaan laaye! Hum is ladke ke Rab par imaan laaye! Hum is ladke ke Rab par imaan laaye!'. Phir badshah ke pass aaya gaya aur use bataya gaya: 'Kya tum dekhte ho jis se tum darte the? Allah ki qasam! Jis cheez se tum darte the woh tum par aa gayi hai! Be shak log imaan le aaye hain!'. Chunache badshah ne hukm diya ki raaston ke darwazon par khandaqen khodi jayein aur woh khodi gayein. Phir un mein aag jalaee gayi. Badshah ne kaha: 'Jo koi apna mazhab na chhode use is mein phenk do!'. Unhon ne aisa hi kiya yahan tak ki ek aurat apne chhote bache ko le kar aayi. Woh aag mein girne se hichkichahat mehsoos kar rahi thi lekin ladke ne kaha: 'Aye maan! Sabar karo kyunki be shak tum haq par ho"'.
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ صُهَيْبٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «كَانَ مَلِكٌ فِيمَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ لَهُ سَاحِرٌ فَلَمَّا كَبِرَ قَالَ لِلْمَلِكِ إِنِّي قَدْ كَبِرْتُ فَابْعَثْ إِلَيَّ غُلَامًا أُعَلِّمُهُ السِّحْرَ فَبَعَثَ لَهُ غُلَامًا يُعَلِّمُهُ فَكَانَ فِي طَرِيقِهِ إِذَا سَلَكَ رَاهِبٌ فَقَعَدَ إِلَيْهِ وَسَمِعَ كَلَامَهُ وَأَعْجَبَهُ فَكَانَ إِذَا أَتَى السَّاحِرَ ضَرَبَهُ وَإِذَا رَجَعَ مِنْ عِنْدِ السَّاحِرِ قَعَدَ إِلَى الرَّاهِبِ وَسَمِعَ كَلَامَهُ فَإِذَا أَتَى أَهْلَهُ ضَرَبُوهُ فَشَكَا ذَلِكَ إِلَى الرَّاهِبِ فَقَالَ لَهُ إِذَا خَشِيتَ السَّاحِرَ فَقُلْ حَبَسَنِي أَهْلِي وَإِذَا خَشِيتَ أَهْلَكَ فَقُلْ حَبَسَنِي السَّاحِرُ فَبَيْنَمَا هُوَ كَذَلِكَ إِذْ أَتَى عَلَى دَابَّةٍ عَظِيمَةٍ قَدْ حَبَسْتِ النَّاسَ فَقَالَ الْيَوْمَ أَعْلَمُ الرَّاهِبُ أَفْضَلُ أَمِ السَّاحِرُ؟ فَأَخَذَ حَجَرًا ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كَانَ أَمْرُ الرَّاهِبِ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ أَمْرِ السَّاحِرِ فَاقْتُلْ هَذِهِ الدَّابَّةَ حَتَّى يَمْضِيَ النَّاسُ فَرَمَاهَا فَقَتَلَهَا وَمَضَى النَّاسُ فَأَتَى الرَّاهِبَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ الرَّاهِبُ أَيْ بُنَيَّ أَنْتَ الْيَوْمَ أَفْضَلُ مِنِّي وَإِنَّكَ سَتُبْتَلَى فَإِنِ ابْتُلِيتَ فَلَا تَدُلَّ عَلَيَّ فَكَانَ الْغُلَامُ يُبْرِئُ الْأَكْمَهَ وَالْأَبْرَصَ وَيُدَاوِي سَائِرَ الْأَدْوَاءِ فَسَمِعَ جَلِيسٌ لِلْمَلِكِ كَانَ قَدْ عَمِيَ فَأَتَى الْغُلَامَ بِهَدَايَا كَثِيرَةٍ فَقَالَ مَا هَاهُنَا لَكَ أَجْمَعُ إِنْ أَنْتَ شَفَيْتَنِي قَالَ إِنِّي لَا أَشْفِي أَحَدًا إِنَّمَا يَشْفِي اللَّهُ إِنْ آمَنْتَ بِاللَّهِ دَعَوْتُ اللَّهَ فَشَفَاكَ فَآمَنَ بِاللَّهِ فَشَفَاهُ اللَّهُ فَأَتَى الْمَلِكَ يَمْشِي يَجْلِسُ إِلَيْهِ كَمَا كَانَ يَجْلِسُ فَقَالَ الْمَلِكُ فُلَانُ مَنْ رَدَّ عَلَيْكَ بَصَرَكَ؟ قَالَ رَبِّي قَالَ وَلَكَ رَبٌّ غَيْرِي؟ قَالَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكَ وَاحِدٌ فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يُعَذِّبْهُ حَتَّى دَلَّ عَلَى الْغُلَامِ فَجِيءَ بِالْغُلَامِ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْمَلِكُ أَيْ بُنَيَّ قَدْ بَلَغَ مِنْ سِحْرِكَ مَا تُبْرِئُ الْأَكْمَهَ وَالْأَبْرَصَ وَتَفْعَلُ وَتَفْعَلُ؟ قَالَ إِنِّي لَا أَشْفِي أَحَدًا إِنَّمَا يَشْفِي اللَّهُ فَأَخَذَهُ فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يُعَذِّبْهُ حَتَّى دَلَّ عَلَى الرَّاهِبِ فَجِيءَ بِالرَّاهِبِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ ارْجِعْ عَنْ دِينِكَ فَأَبِي فَدَعَا بِالْمِنْشَارِ فَوَضَعَ الْمِنْشَارَ فِي مَفْرِقِ رَأْسِهِ فَشُقَّ بِهِ حَتَّى وَقَعَ شِقَّاهُ ثُمَّ جِيءَ بِجَلِيسِ الْمَلِكِ فَقِيلَ ارْجِعْ عَنْ دِينِكَ فَأَبِي فَوَضَعَ الْمِنْشَارَ فِي مَفْرِقِ رَأْسِهِ فَشَقَّهُ بِهِ حَتَّى وَقَعَ شِقَّاهُ ثُمَّ جِيءَ بِالْغُلَامِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ ارْجِعْ عَنْ دِينِكَ فَأَبِي فَدَفَعَهُ إِلَى نَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالَ اذْهَبُوا بِهِ إِلَى جَبَلِ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَاصْعَدُوا بِهِ الْجَبَلَ فَإِذَا بَلَغْتُمْ ذُرْوَتَهُ فَإِنْ رَجَعَ عَنْ دِينِهِ وَإِلَّا فَاطْرَحُوهُ فَذَهَبُوا بِهِ فَصَعِدُوا بِهِ الْجَبَلَ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِيهِمْ بِمَا شِئْتَ فَرَجَفَ بِهِمُ الْجَبَلُ فَسَقَطُوا وَجَاءَ يَمْشِي إِلَى الْمَلِكِ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْمَلِكُ مَا فَعَلَ أَصْحَابُكَ؟ قَالَ كَفَانِيهِمُ اللَّهُ فَدَفَعَهُ إِلَى قَوْمٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالَ اذْهَبُوا بِهِ فَاحْمِلُوهُ فِي قُرْقُورٍ فَوَسِّطُوا بِهِ الْبَحْرَ فَلَجِّجُوا بِهِ فَإِنْ رَجَعَ عَنْ دِينِهِ وَإِلَّا فَاقْذِفُوهُ فَذَهَبُوا بِهِ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِيهِمْ بِمَا شِئْتَ فَانْكَفَأَتْ بِهِمُ السَّفِينَةُ وَجَاءَ يَمْشِي إِلَى الْمَلِكِ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْمَلِكُ مَا فَعَلَ أَصْحَابُكَ؟ قَالَ كَفَانِيهِمُ اللَّهُ فَقَالَ لِلْمَلِكِ وَإِنَّكَ لَسْتَ بِقَاتِلِي حَتَّى تَفْعَلَ مَا آمُرُكَ بِهِ قَالَ وَمَا هُوَ؟ قَالَ تَجْمَعُ النَّاسَ فِي صَعِيدٍ وَاحِدٍ وَتَصْلُبُنِي عَلَى جِذْعٍ ثُمَّ خُذْ سَهْمًا مِنْ كِنَانَتِكَ ثُمَّ ضَعِ السَّهْمَ فِي كَبِدِ الْقَوْسِ ثُمَّ قُلْ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْغُلَامِ ثُمَّ ارْمِنِي فَإِنَّكَ إِذَا فَعَلْتَ ذَلِكَ قَتَلْتَنِي فَجَمَعَ النَّاسَ فِي صَعِيدٍ وَاحِدٍ ثُمَّ صَلَبَهُ عَلَى جِذْعٍ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ سَهْمًا مِنْ كِنَانَتِهِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَ السَّهْمَ فِي كَبِدِ قَوْسِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْغُلَامِ ثُمَّ رَمَاهُ فَوَقَعَ السَّهْمُ فِي صُدْغِهِ فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ فِي مَوْضِعِ السَّهْمِ فَمَاتَ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الْغُلَامِ آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الْغُلَامِ ثَلَاثًا فَأُتِيَ الْمَلِكُ فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَرَأَيْتَ مَا كُنْتَ تَحْذَرُ قَدْ وَاللَّهِ نَزَلَ بِكَ حَذَرُكَ قَدْ آمَنَ النَّاسُ فَأَمَرَ بِالْأُخْدُودِ بِأَفْوَاهِ السِّكَكِ فَخُدَّتْ وَأَضْرَمَ النِّيرَانَ وَقَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَرْجِعْ عَنْ دِينِهِ فَأَحْمُوهُ فَفَعَلُوا حَتَّى جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ وَمَعَهَا صَبِيٌّ لَهَا فَتَقَاعَسَتْ أَنْ تَقَعَ فِيهَا فَقَالَ لَهَا الْغُلَامُ يَا أُمَّهِ اصْبِرِي فَإِنَّكِ عَلَى الْحَقِّ»
