Sunan Ibn Majah 2829
Lahi’ah bin Uqbah narrated that he heard Abul-Ward (رضي الله تعالى عنه), the Companion of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), say, ‘beware of the troop which, when it meets (the enemy) it flees, and when it takes spoils of war, it steals from it.’

نبی اکرم ﷺ کے صحابی ابوالورد رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ اس فوجی دستے میں شرکت سے بچو جس کی دشمن سے مڈبھیڑ ہو تو وہ بھاگ کھڑا ہو، اور اگر مال غنیمت حاصل ہو تو اس میں خیانت کرے۔
Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke Sahabi Abu-al-Ward (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke is fauji dastay mein shirkhat se bacho jis ki dushman se mudbhid ho to woh bhaag khada ho, aur agar maal ghanimat hasil ho to is mein khiyanat kare.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَاب، عَنْ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ لَهِيعَةَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْوَرْدِ صَاحِبَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: إِيَّاكُمْ وَالسَّرِيَّةَ الَّتِي إِنْ لَقِيَتْ فَرَّتْ، وَإِنْ غَنِمَتْ غَلَّتْ .
