كِتَابُ الْإِمَامَةِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ
Chapter on the clarification that Mu'adh prayed the obligatory prayer with the Prophet, peace be upon him, not a voluntary one as claimed by some Iraqis.
بَابُ ذِكْرِ الْبَيَانِ أَنَّ مُعَاذًا كَانَ يُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرِيضَةً لَا تَطَوُّعًا كَمَا ادَّعَى بَعْضُ الْعِرَاقِيِّينَ.
Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 1635
Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Muadh (may Allah be pleased with him) used to pray Isha prayer with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and then he would go back and lead his companions in prayer. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "I have already written this issue in detail. In this issue, I have mentioned the hadiths of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regarding prayer in fear, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led a group in a voluntary prayer while they had prayed the obligatory prayer behind you. So that prayer was voluntary for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and obligatory for them."
سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ سیدنا معاذ رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ عشاء کی نماز پڑھتے تھے، پھر واپس جاکر اپنے ساتھیوں کو نماز پڑھاتے۔ امام ابوبکر رحمه الله فرماتے ہیں کہ میں یہ مسئلہ مکمّل لکھوا چکا ہوں۔ میں اس مسئلہ میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی احادیث نماز خوف کے بارے میں بیان کر چکا ہوں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک گروہ کو نفل نماز پڑھائی جبکہ اُنہوں نے آپ کے پیچھے فرض نماز ادا کی۔ اس طرح وہ نماز نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لئے نفل تھی اور اُن کے لئے فرض تھی۔
Sayyidna Jabir Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Sayyidna Muaz Radi Allahu Anhu Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke sath Isha ki namaz parhte thay, phir wapas jakar apne sathiyon ko namaz parhate. Imam Abu Bakr Rahmatullah Alaih farmate hain ki mein yeh masla mukammal likhwa chuka hun. Mein is masle mein Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki ahadith namaz khauf ke bare mein bayan kar chuka hun ki Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne ek giroh ko nafl namaz parhayi jabki unhon ne aap ke peeche farz namaz ada ki. Is tarah woh namaz Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke liye nafl thi aur un ke liye farz thi.
