كِتَابُ الصَّلَاةِ
Chapter on the evidence that the Prophet, peace be upon him, used to recite the long surahs in the first two rak'ahs of Maghrib, not in one rak'ah.
بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِطُولِ الطُّولَيْنِ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الْأُولَيَيْنِ مِنَ الْمَغْرِبِ لَا فِي رَكْعَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ.

Our master Ibn 'Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, narrated from his mother, the honorable Umm al-Fadl bint al-Harith, may Allah be pleased with her, that she heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, reciting Surat al-Mursalat in the Maghrib prayer. These are the words of Durqi's narration. However, 'Abdul Jabbar (the esteemed teacher of the Imam) did not narrate the words "in the Maghrib prayer."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما اپنی والدہ محترمہ سیدہ اُم الفضل بنت الحارث رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ اُنہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو نماز مغرب میں «سورة المرسلات» پڑھتے ہوئے سنا۔ یہ دورقی کی روایت کے الفاظ ہیں۔ مگر (امام صاحب کے استاد محترم) عبدالجبار نے یہ الفاظ روایت نہیں کیے کہ ”نماز مغرب میں“ (یہ سورت سنی ہے)۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhuma apni walida muhtarama Sayyida Ummul Fazl Bint Al Harith Radi Allahu Anha se riwayat karte hain ke unhon ne Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko namaz maghrib mein "Surah Al Mursalat" parhte huye suna. Yeh duraqi ki riwayat ke alfaz hain. Magar (imam sahib ke ustad muhtaram) Abdul Jabbar ne ye alfaz riwayat nahi kiye ke "namaz maghrib mein" (ye surat suni hai).
نا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ، نا وَكِيعٌ ، نا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، نا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، نا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، نا الزُّهْرِيُّ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِالْمُرْسَلاتِ" . هَذَا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ الدَّوْرَقِيِّ، غَيْرَ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الْجَبَّارِ لَمْ يَقُلْ: فِي الْمَغْرِبِ
