Muwatta Imam Malik 394
Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that Said ibn al- Musayyab said, "Which prayer is it when you remain in the sitting position in every raka?'' Said said, "It is maghrib when you miss one raka, and that is the sunna in all the prayers."

سعید بن مسیب رحمہ اللہ سے روایت ہے کہ انھوں نے پوچھا : وہ کون سی نماز ہے جس کی ہر رکعت میں بیٹھا جاتا ہے ؟ پھر سعید رحمہ اللہ نے خود ہی فرمایا کہ یہ نماز مغرب ہے جب کہ تجھ سے اس کی ایک رکعت رہ جائے ۔
Saeed bin Musayyab rehmatullah alaih se riwayat hai ki unhon ne poocha: Woh kon si namaz hai jis ki har rakat mein betha jata hai? Phir Saeed rehmatullah alaih ne khud hi farmaya ki yeh namaz Maghrib hai jab ki tujh se is ki ek rakat reh jaye.
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : « مَا صَلَاةٌ يُجْلَسُ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ مِنْهَا ؟» ثُمَّ قَالَ سَعِيدٌ : « هِيَ الْمَغْرِبُ إِذَا فَاتَتْكَ مِنْهَا رَكْعَةٌ ، وَكَذَلِكَ سُنَّةُ الصَّلَاةِ كُلُّهَا »
